Utopia Project

Our goal is to create a community that encourages harmony through our three principles:

1.) Friendship
2.) Respect
3.) Adventure

A large part of our Project is welcoming new and/or returning players back to P1999 server and giving them a place to experience the best part of EQ, that which has always set EQ apart from any other MMORPG… the community.

Utopia Project is designed as a leveling and adventure guild. With weekly guild grouping events focused on traveling to the far reaches of Norrath. Exploring zones not usually inhabited!

We also will assist new players in acquiring basic adventuring gear and serve as a collection point for low-end gear donations from other players/guilds on the server.

Through our continuing collective efforts, we will continue to grow the community of P1999, one player at a time!

We are now, un-officially, the largest active guild for players between levels 5-15! Recruitment focus is moving this week to the Qeynos/Halas area so keep an eye out for us!. Apply now to join the adventures!

We are off to a good start! Lots of new members recruited today, mostly in the GFay area levels 5-12. If you are new, this is a great opportunity to meet other new players and begin re-experiencing the past, or for the first time.

our peak time seems to be evenings between 6pm and 2am EST... Although I am not on much later than that to know :) Looking to get the early AM crowd as well. If you see one of us on, ask for an officer :)

Great guild for lowbies looking to have questions answered and getting accustomed to P99. I recommend all new players join even if it's only until you're in your teens and feel comfortable to move on to a raiding guild.

Also thanks to those who donated to the bank it helps the new players out so they're not getting 1shotted in crushbone, blackburrow, commonlands and etc.

Yesterday I was recalling how much fun EQ Classic was and how I am bored with current titles. I remembered hearing about emulators and stumbled across Project 1999. It sounded like exactly what I was looking for so I looked into what I neeeded to get started. The very easy to follow instructions noted I needed the EQ Titanium disks. I thought, "No problem, last time I saw those in a bargin bin they were like $5 and I should be able to get them on ebay worse case senario." Wrong...none on ebay and only found them on Amazon for $277new $87used. LOL ...so I went home and crawled up in the attic to find our box of old software. I knew I personally never bought the titanium edition, having quit after PoP. But maybe the step kids had a copy of it before i came into the picture and it made its way into our respository of "attic software".

My skin began to itch from the fiberglass insulation dust as I pulled box after box of old game titles out, pausing every so often to recall that particular game. Until there, at the bottom, was a box marked "Everquest Titanium Edition"! With a sqeeel unworthy of a man of 44 years, I raced to the PC and began the install. An hour later i was in game, rolling several characters and getting the feel of EQ again.

So today, I am thinking I would love to join a leveling guild and this one seems a natural fit. However, having played basically every class to mid lvl or higher (enchanter & ranger were my raid chars) in the past, I really can not decide which one to play. So I thought I would ask and see what classes this guild is low on and see if I could maybe fill a needed spot.

Welcome Back! Just play a Class you enjoy. What a guild is low on today, they will be full up tomorrow. :) In my case, I played a Magician as my Main on Live, but this time around I wanted to do everything different... :)
