Alienware not restarting after saving ui files from eq

My notebook wont restart, Seems to be linked with saving files in ui on eq. For example adding to the friends list. Happens everytime, then I restart and use a restore point, and the friends names are gone. Wondering if anyone else is having same issues. If so can something be done about it?
