According to this graph from eqsummoners.com (archived), pets after level 39 should regenerate at 30 hp/tick.

I just leveled to 39 and my new fire pet doesn't seem to be regenerating any faster.

noticed that too. seems to be the same as 34 pet. Still takes forever to regen pet from 20 to 100%, and 39 used to be a huge upgrade, mainly because of the pet regen pet regened very fast, lowering downtime between mobs
Known issue. Brought it up in November. :(

Would be nice with a status on this from devs. if their just as bewildered as us about the issue, or its something that is fixable.
My playstile never been to let pet die and resummon, or reclaim after each kill. Especially not with the random lvl summons from classic. In some situations it matters if you have a minimum lvl pet or a max lvl one.
And with the way agro is borked as is, Its very difficult to use pet all the way down and resummon and have him get agro, especially if he's not an earth pet, or the mob is resistant (wich NO mobs is on P99. All spells always stick .... riiiight) or he's a caster, in wich case he nukes the bumm out of me, even he's rooted. :o

It's also frustrating when equipping a pet with proccing weapons that take a while to farm. It's a trade off for a more resilient pet but with a lot of downtime.

Lots n lots of downtime.
Focused Earth pet at lvl 50 takes roughly 30 minutes to regen 50% hp.

considering it takes ~8 minutes to regen your mana pool, its better if you heal it :p you might be good to go after 20!

They just need to fix the regen, i mean how hard can it be. There gotta be a parameter in the DB for at least hp regen. its 1 parameter for each pet type that need to be changed. Shouldn't take long to fix really

?
See how the pets change level when they are are summoned? From a range of -2 0 +2 ? That means the source alters the pets level when it is summoned. This needs to work differently, and what makes it work differently will not be a db fix. :)

What you mean by "the source" modifies ?
I'm just asking blunt because I don't know the scripting around this. I know the pet lvl varies with each summon, but as far as i know the hp regen is the same for all pets from lvl 39, 44 and 49 summons, no matter what lvl they become when summoning them.
The lvl and focus items only affect the pets stats, hits, spell dmg, dmg shield as far as i know.
The pets seem very constant in eg HP to me no matter its -2 or +2 lvl, the pet heal moves them exact the same, so i asumed that the actual pet HP and its regen was just a static number from the DB. Guess i was wrong :p

The level variance that was added only changes the pets level. The pets max hits do not change. The HPs, AC, stats, etc., do not vary by level, as was on live.
The effects due to focus items are different, but need tweaked on too.
I will check the pet regen rates when I work on them.
