Just wondering because there's been some confusion over things like Kithicor spawn cycle and the like. What time are day and night set to in game, specifically for mob tables and spawning?

6am - 6pm? or 8am to 8pm. I was fairly certain Kith was supposed to be 8 to 8, but here is it 6 to 6.

Yeah, I'm almost certain that Kith was 8 to 8 in classic too.

But I'm not sure if there is a global setting for what is considered "day" and what is considered "night", or if it's just on a case-by-case basis.

When I hug the wall at night it's rare for me to even see one undead :)

That said, someone I asked once told me it was 7am?

According to a post by Prathun regarding day/night on the Sony boards, day was 14 hours, night was 10 hours. As such I setup kith to run from 9p to 7a.

Some mobs (like Ancient Cyclops) have day and night mobs defined in their spawn table so I am assuming it is a globally defined setting. If you have it globally set from 9pm to 7am that would certainly explain why I always saw the correct 'a mummy' placeholder at 6am, but never at 8pm.

Back in the day I always sat at High Hold or WC and waited until 7 am to start running through.
