Everyone,

First of all I love this game and this server. I appreciate all of those people in the community and on the dev/operations team that make Project 1999 thrive. However, I think this is it for me. Early this year I had deleted my characters (dumb I know) in order too keep me focused on my degree but after I graduated this spring I found myself wanting to play again. I petitioned to have my characters restored, something I was told was doable, and patiently waited. I have patiently waited for 5 months now without a peep from anyone on when this will be done. It is evident that this isn't going to happen and since I am not willing to start from scratch I guess it is off to greener pastures for me. Thanks to all who helped along the way and made this game so fun for so many.

Yes...Rogean came through. All I can say to people who made that mistake of deleting their toons..be patient. As you know Rogean and the gang have been fighting server stability issues for the last several months. I can tell you from my back ground as a Systems/Network engineer that there is a lot of work making sure that operations run smoothly. When I posted I wasn't complaining ...I was just accepting what I thought was the reality and moving on. Now I'll be playing like it's 1999.

You purposely deleted your chars, with the expectation that the staff would restore them.

Actually I didn't delete them thinking anyone was going to restore. When I decided to come back I started over but friends told me I should ask to have my old characters restored so I did. At that point I was told it was doable so I had reasonable expectations it would be done at some point. After several months of waiting around I figured it wasn't going to happen so I was ready to move on.

I'm not sure what your problem but I assure you if Rogean didn't feel like restoring my toons he wouldn't have...and I wouldn't have blamed him.

It is fair to say that yes I was ready to move on. The reason is I just am not interested in starting from scratch. This isn't a threat, just the reality of my situation. Rogean restored my toons under his own free will and on his own timeline. If he hadn't I would have went on my merry way and the server would have down likewise and nobody but a few of my friends would have cared. So I guess I don't understand how this affects those of you who are being critical of this whole affair.
