How Nihilum are killing the population in two different ways

With the release of Kunark, most of the vocal leaders of Nihilum claimed the server would have a surge of players, eclipsing 200, 300 players again. However, we've seen the population again start stabilizing at 100 players only a few days into Kunark with the reality that it will drop in the near future.

I believe Nihilum has contributed most detrimentally to this server since their inception, and here is why:

1) They have over recruited since inception to offset their lack of skill as players
-Prekunark this mentality dragged the server down to the lowest of the low, stalling any chance of population growth for months upon months, until finally it seized up to 30 active players (all one guild)

2) Now, after 9 months of recruiting, they have begun posting on the forums about purging members - this is going to be the final killing blow to this server population
-Any member Nihilum kicks from their guild, at this point, will 100% end up as a former player of Red99
-Think about the recruited drones of this guild, over 120 members on their dkp site, the dregs of the community in terms of skill; where will they go? The answer is easy: they will quit

It has been pointed out time and time again over these 9 months what the issues and problems are with this server, and if history has taught us anything it will be that the admins will listen to the players who continue to ruin this server.

I would like to congratulate Nihilum for being the final killing blow to this server and the laughs that were had when you insisted that releasing more content was the key to saving Red99. Sadtimes bro.

Secondly, Show me one instance where I whined, moaned, or bitched? What was I complaining about? Give any sort of details.. or SS (I also implore you to find any situation where I was a complaining in GuildChat)

Thirdly, I didn't farm those items for personal gain. My RL buddy farmed them with Tune and Zam (are they horrible people for trying to get Pre Nerf CoS?) I should also add they were AFK during the farming.

Finally, When I did get internet reconnected to my house (it was 1 week before kunark release) I level'd a Shaman from 30-50 and raided multiple times while doing that.

I'd say I resist half of the roots casted on me. I remember reading an old guide at the safehouse and it said 100-120 MR should be the goal to keep you safe from most CC. Hopefully kunark would of fixed a few thing via population, but after not even a week we already got people over level 56, doesnt anyone enjoy games anymore? Whats the rush to finish them.


It think the devs are to blame for this. Although im grateful for them giving us some of classic we enjoyed a decade ago, some things they did just were really bad decisions.

By putting in XP loss in pvp they tilted the server toward a race to the top PVE PVE PVE and made it so small guerilla PVP wasnt viable unless you enjoyed the extra craptasticular PVE grind.

They listened to people feeding them false feedback so they could either have a stranglehold on PVE by zerging or just them enjoying griefing casuals off the box with it. You know, people like Nihilum who say XP loss is a non-factor and let themselves get booted out of KC by 9 VV and dont even attempt to get the zone back with their guild list cut short.

Since it seems PVP was only thought of by devs as a camp control mechanic instead of something people should be enjoying daily, the end result is a PVP server where PVP doesnt happen often and is discouraged.
