There are a hundred posts when the servers go down but never a post when they stay up. So that's what this is.

Big thanks to the guys behind the curtain. Whatever you did seems to have helped a lot and the server crashes have been very very minimal. Thanks for all that you do to keep this free to play. It doesn't seem like it at times but it is appreciated.

Ditto. Stability has greatly improved as of late. Thank you all for your hard work getting it fixed.

Wanna know the funny thing?

I don't think we actually fixed it.. granted we tried about a thousand fixes.. but nothing was ever confirmed to have stopped it.

Happens at work more than it should to be honest. Do what I do... knock on some wood and pray it stays that way. Especially if you are the one on call for that week.

Thanks for all the hard work though guys.

What Tara said, even if I did make my class look bad, was glad I signed up. Fauss' introduction was quite funny, IDK if he did that for any of his other competitors (was I special?).

I'm glad someone bit, I really need to get these last 10 posts done.

Anyways, was it different every time or was it the same one?

Hah. This was my favorite part of the tourny. No, you're not special. Everyone that had the privilege of falling to le Virtuose caught a different flurry of French insults.

[Sun Aug 19 17:53:01 2012] Fauss says, 'You don't frighten me, bardish pig dog. Go and boil your bottom, you son of a silly person. I blow my nose at you, so-called " Deajay KiteKing ", you and all your silly BDA K-nig-hts. '

[Sun Aug 19 18:12:34 2012] Fauss says, 'I don't wanna talk to you no more Upbeat, you empty-headed animal food-trough wiper! I fart in your general direction! '
[Sun Aug 19 18:12:34 2012] Fauss says, 'Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries!'
[Sun Aug 19 18:12:34 2012] Fauss says, 'Now go away, or I shall taunt you a second time!'

[Sun Aug 19 18:25:40 2012] Fauss says, 'Bravely bold Sir Halfelf rode forth from Freeport. He was not afraid to die, oh brave Sir Halfelf. He was not at all afraid to be killed in nasty ways, brave, brave, brave, brave Sir Halfelf.'
[Sun Aug 19 18:25:40 2012] Fauss says, 'He was not in the least bit scared to be mashed into a pulp, or to have his eyes gouged out, and his elbows broken. '
[Sun Aug 19 18:25:40 2012] Fauss says, 'To have his kneecaps split, and his body burned away, and his limbs all hacked and mangled, brave Sir Halfelf.'
[Sun Aug 19 18:25:41 2012] Fauss says, 'His head smashed in and heart cut out, and his liver removed, and his bowels unplugged, and his nostrils raped and his bottom burned off and his penis... '

[Sun Aug 19 18:46:19 2012] Fauss says, 'Brave Sir Arrisard ran away... '
[Sun Aug 19 18:46:19 2012] Fauss says, 'Bravely ran away away... '
[Sun Aug 19 18:46:20 2012] Fauss says, 'When danger reared its ugly head, he bravely turned his tail and fled. '
[Sun Aug 19 18:46:20 2012] Fauss says, 'Yes, brave Sir Arrisard turned about, and valiantly, he chickened out. '
[Sun Aug 19 18:46:20 2012] Fauss says, 'Bravely taking to his feet, he beat a very brave retreat. A brave retreat by brave Sir Arrisard. '

I was actually going to make a similar thread a week or two ago. However, the moment I tabbed out to make the thread the server crashed.

No, but seriously kudos on whatever you folks did right.

Sometimes that's just the way the cookie crumbles. I suppose many fixes could have created more problems. However it happened it has been running very smooth and kudos are in line. Even if ya didn't do anything praise is deserved. Seeing as how sometimes you can do nothing and get flamed for it.

If I had to bet some money an egghead from another EQEmu or something was causing it. And he finally let it go. No telling what it might have been. Just glad it's fixed, for now.
