This is an abnormal outage. Typically when it goes down the server doesn't disappear from server select, and you can watch the population slowly drop on the homepage. This time it's just down.

Try your hand at C++ debugging, or hell, debugging in general of difficult-to-pinpoint problems, especially considering the circumstances, and you won't wish you had any perspective at all. No offense, just sayin' it's not an easy technical problem as per what little I do know concerning the source of the problems.

Whatever, I still wish for the same thing as you do: servers be up! :-)
