returning player needs help getting started

hi guys, this is my first post and im excited to start playing eq again its been 8 long years. Anyways i was looking on the eqemu website and on a sticky in there forums it says you can use SoF or underfoot as well as titanium, is this true? If so they're so much more easily obtainable. Any help is greatly appreciated and if you can't use SoF can you please point me in the direction of easily obtaining titanium

so i have gotten to the eqemu launcher everything else is installed. it asks me to update to version 1.24 and i did and then options pops up and i dont know what my folder and exe path are supposed to be and the launcher says cannot contact eqemulator.com plz help need someone tech savy lol

Only Titanium is supported here.

i already have titanium installed... im stuck with the launcher... it says

To run this application, you must first install one of the following versions of the .NET Framework:
V4.0.30319
contact your application publisher for instructions on obtaining the appropriate version of the .NET Framework .....this is the error message i get every time i update eqemu launcher from V1.22 to V1.24 So i was wondering if anyone can break down how to manually patch in the files so i can start playing

so i did that and now im getting this on the launcher

Looks like the Launcher needs Admin access.

Right-click the Launcher (or your shortcut to it) and click Properties. Go to the Compatibility tab and check the box by "Run this program as an administrator"

Now when you launch, if UAC is enabled you'll get the yes/no prompt, click Yes, and you should be good to go.

Edit: Oh, and what was your char's name on E`ci? :) I was there from 99-06

well i got it running but now ill be playing and it will minimize to the desktop. its doing this quite a bit anyway i can fix it?

Are you running in Windowed mode? Go to Options in the game, then Display tab and make sure Windowed Mode is selected. It sounds like you might be running in fullscreen mode and anytime you alt+tab or press the Windows key, it will minimize like that.

I am having the same issue on win xp, the problem is that the launcher requires .net 4.0 and it will not install on win xp. so basically anyone that has to reinstall on win xp, or new install. Gets screwed over by the eqemu launcher.
