I can spend months grinding exp to contest raid targets (maybe? Lol) with a guild that makes up 90% of pop at times and has a massive gear advantage?!

And all this as my guild has players quitting and starting nonstop so I am on a perpetual help lvl / gear treadmill?!

You are basically calling everyone who has seen a basketball game a fan. That "500" number isn't really reflective of actual potential long term players. Anyway, you took that statement far too literally. I was just making a point that a lot of the former players were just virtual sociopaths who give PvP a bad name.
