As far as MMO PVE goes, it is really really low-fi stuff. Nothing pre-Velious is more complex than Tank-and-Spank. My player-fucking version of Plane of Sky on VZTZ was an experiment. Just how broken was old EQ PvE? The answer to that is "broken enough for the biggest guild (Heresy) to defeat an Eye of Veeshan that quads for ~2000 (500 hits), has 150k hp, and procs a knockback that sends you off the island on every other hit". This was pre-Kunark.



If you kill Naggy (without exploits) with 6 people, that might be something worth talking about. Go do that. And split your guild up so you actually have to fight somebody else for it.

And first gen content can still be a bitcb if your tanks/clerics arent geared properly. I know islands 5/6/7 in sky arent doable in classic with less than 40 (nihilum fields ~25). I base this on our failures so far when every one of our members is pretty much geared to the teeth.
