View Full Version : NPC Spawn Issue: Ancient Croc Camp Upper Guk

I've been trying to get a pair of gatorscale legs so I've been at this camp a bunch off and on in the last week. I've also read a number of threads on it from this forum. One thing I noticed is based on this post:

This is correct, except it's 1 - 5 crocs from my memory. (I remember it sucked when only 1 spawned because it meant almost no exp that round)

They spawned in a / like diagonal formation, AC would always spawn alone in the middle spot and was aggressive

They would all spawn at once, timer started when last was one was killed. Only reason I never said anything about this was because it really doesn't matter much and it will likely be hard to fix/script the spawn times together

I'm a little low for the camp so I often have to med between killing crocs before I can kill the next couple especially if the spawn is 4-5 crocs at once.

The spawn timer seems to be going when you kill the first one, not when you kill the last one as it should be. There's been a number of times in the past couple days where it's taken me so long to med up to kill more (thanks to numerous resists, etc) that new crocs start spawning on top of the old ones.

I thought this was working as intended.

The script as it was written is quite old at this point, so I rewrote the portion dealing with respawns.

Fixed, pending update.

This is correct, i remember back on live in 1999 it being such a pain when 5 spawned because the timer didnt start until the last one died, and if you were after the loot and were barlely getting exp you would waste 10 minutes just getting them all dead to restart the timer, equates to dozens of less chances at loot in a hardcore camping session.
