Dear Hard Working Devs and Loyal Community Members,

The entire community knows that I always keep it real and always speak the 100 percent truth. This is just a fact.

So, I come forth to say that the time has come to play the last card in the red99 hand: The Ruins of Kunark.

The last 2 or 3 dozen people playing regularly on the server have consumed all the content that can be consumed. Sky, while interesting and fun, was designed originally with the new level cap of Kunark in mind, and thus cannot be completed by lvl 50 toons. Especially a mear two dozen lvl 50 toons.

Many wise community members have already gone into exaustive detail on the many benefits of the Kunark expansion for this server. A new race to play, a new continent to explore, levels to journy through on the way to 60, many new items to aquire that expand character power latteraly, and of course new raid content for the raid community.

Too many people have checked out, wainting for Kunark. Those that remain are left as a skeleton crew, watching over a desolate server. Now even the skeleton crew is slowly falling by the wayside, after nine months of classic content they and everyone else need Kunark to continue on.

For Better for for Worse, its time to play the final card.

RELEASE KUNARK, and let the chips fall where they may, in this experiment in Classic Red EQ. We cannot wait for the end of the summer, we cannot wait until "school starts back up in the fall" , we cannot wait for "a holiday promotion to bring in a xmas crowd", we cannot wait for "2013, the year Kunark launch on red"!

Has no problem exploiting dragons. Squeals like a pig when ousted in PvP (read: stacks on stacks of player corpses for like 4 hours) - process repeated - and gets GMs to finally sign on and address it, magically and with server broadcast against server policy, in his favor.

Yeah this would do a lot more than just releasing Kunark imo but this server has big ol underlying problems :(

The main problem is most of the population hit 50 and quit shortly thereafter. Everyone else that wasn't hardcore was left with few people to play with, and rough, classic style exp rates.

Then there was 2 large guilds emerging, and trying to out-recruit one another. One guild won the politic game (nihilum), and then, without new players, there was no one else to recruit because the casuals and new guys were ostracized by lack of low level pop. So the guys who lost, decided to quit and rather than try to get the server going, started a campaign against the server where they shit up the server and forums with butthurt.

The problem can be solved by people just logging in. New stuff to do here shortly with kunark. New pvps to be had.

Yeah, because its OBVIOUSLY its the peoples who quit fault. They were 'griefed off the server.' But not because of PvP. Or any other reason that people could 'brag' about griefing people.

They were griefed off the server by many things. NONE of which were classic. GM/Guide favoritism. Broken systems. Exploits galore (Many of which were brought up prior to release).

People left because the game was BROKEN.

People aren't coming back because of the attitude of the players still active on the box, the people who run the box, and the idiotic ruleset that is in place.

Hehe ha ha ho ho, we can clear up to island 5, and our only attempt on Keeper of Souls (island 4 boss) we got em to about 10% on our first try with 20 or less. Not too shabby I'd say. :)

EVERYONE knew about these things. And by the time the server 'stabilized' it jaded most of the population.

And they all said the same thing, the server could have been awesome, but it was ran into the ground.

This server is a lot better then what it was when we first started here, they are constantly fixing thing's and I haven't seen many bugs in the kunark content. Classic has a lot of bugs but this box is far from shitty, you kind of sound mad that everybody left the server due to admin's. Soon your box will be dead and you'll come over here with the rest of us.

Also the pop is 100+ already. It started at 30 when I first came over.
