I made some changes July 1, 2010 around 9:00 AM EST to food and water consumption.

New system is as follows.

Food and Water has points each time it is consumed.

Client automatically consumes food and water if the points get below 3000.

Example: A Iron Ration has a modifier of 25

The formula for each time food or water is consumed is as follows.

(Food/Water Multiplier x 25) =

So a iron ration = (25 x 25) = 625 points

The client will consume 1 point every tick (6 seconds).

1 minute = 10 ticks
1 hour = 600 ticks

So 1 Iron Ration will last you roughly 1 hour and 2 1/2 minutes

Baked food and water lasts longer because there multiplier is 50 and 75 and some of them 100.

Attached I have put a list of food and water and there rates. Not all food/water on that list is available, I just pulled a query from the database for all food and water.

We also have the ability to change the rules on the fly to make food and water last longer so we will play with it to see what is best.
