That server will never last, but at least you feel like you accomplished something in 12 hours... other than watching the exp go from 35 and 1 blue, to 35 and 3 yellow.

It won't last, but you have to take notice that people left this server, for that one. Even if 5 people left, its 15% of the population.

I said it won't last. But you have to just notice that even with the immensely broken systems, the server has around the same population. Even if you consider that EVERYONE boxes (and not everyone does), and you half the population, it still has an equivalent number of people.

Too bad here wasn't more people for item loot.... Pvp would be main focus even at lower levels.. That's how rallos zek was.. Took a year or two just to get a lvl 60 because it was all pvp everyday from lvl 12 on..... This coin loot doesn't bring enough incentive to want to pvp other then someone being in your camp or just wanting to grief someone just because... Versus u better watch your back rolling into unrest with that mithril gear on cause were coming in HOT. Would also create more low level twinks to lvl/ pvp with... A naked noobie would eventually befriend a twinked out lower level to grind / pvp with because this persons gear is shit lowering the focus on him... No??? the arguments for playing on legacy of zek were made very clear.

I played a gnome enchanter on live also.. Leveled with charm to 66. It was actually easier then p99 cause I could break or even kill my pet by nuking it, not having to invis to break.. Btw Phantom most twinks will be going after other twinks with nice gear if it was item loot.. But you never know there are also bad ones that can't pvp so they gotta grief for them rawhide loots.. Exp isn't so much the problem as finding someone to get exp with. Game revolves around community and group interaction, always had. When the sense of community dissolves due to rampant asshatery and low population, it makes it impossible, or at best unpalatable to continue playing.

Though yes, the server was updated a few months ago, the updates come without notice or deliberation, either before or after. If the community just had a regular update on the direction of the server, and admins participating in server improvement discussions, shit would go a long, long way. Players want to know roughly what changes are coming and when, so they can determine how worthwhile their time investment is. Otherwise, people wonder if the most recent patch was the last.

Like I said elsewhere, if players were to hear sky was coming out this weekend and kunark would be released starting july 1st, I'd wager more than a few players would feel it was worth their time to log on and try to finish leveling and gearing up in anticipation for new content. Throw in an Admin update regarding resists and game mechanics, and you'd see a lot of life come back into the community, just about guaranteed.

Exp isnt a problem for me with red99 it just got stale.....Spend hours in fear/hate farming pixels waiting for Nihi raid night for them to log on to see they are the only ones online.With yellow text on Loz its obvious theres more pvp there atm.Will it last? Who knows but with no input from devs where there state of the server is no one has faith that the box will progress.There simply isnt enough players who wanna grind out old world at the slow pace.Casual players need to be enticed to play to keep a strong population and so do the diehards.

Here's my thoughts on the server. LoZ is just a parody. It's a short-term thrill for people who are frustrated with red99. I'm sure this isn't devnewb's intention but when you have players making characters named after people from red99 (especially staff members) just to make fun of them and circle jerk each other about it, your server can't be taken seriously in the long term. It's a way for people to do the things they wouldn't be allowed to do on red99, like use cheat programs, exploit, train, or spam racist shit in global ooc (the latter two are actually allowed on LoZ). Anyone thinking this is going to replace red99 and give you a pvp server in the long term is crazy and needs a wake-up call. No offense to devnewb but it would take years of development work to put this server on red99's level. It's not just minor bugs like spawning in the wrong location when you die (High elves spawn at the butcherblock docks when they gate... but in Gfay when they die??? Why?), but glaring exploits that will plague the server with illegitimacy until the day people stop playing it. I mean really, it's impossible that Naggy's been killed legitimately already. It just can't happen with the numbers that guilds on that server are sporting and I'd get a really good laugh if the players who did it were in Holo, FF or Nihilum on red99.
PS: for some reason I can't log into LoZ consistently. 9 out of 10 times it just boots me back to the login screen. Maybe I should consider myself lucky.
