I formed a guild on there some of you may remember at launch "The blademasters" it was basically - help others as much as possible/have fun, the only rules we had.
It grew to crazy levels and spread cross servers and honestly it was one of the happiest times of my life.

I used to live on the everlore boards however when it crumbled the mods got a new site slackers haven and invited everyone from all the lore boards - AC, DOAC, EQ etc etc over.
We all jumped on to that site and have managed to stay close since then with a yearly get together in the states attended by old mmorpg gamers from around the world for gaming and booze - mmmm booze.

anyway I digress we all heard about this awesome project from a board member treeland and have come on board, you made a lot of us old gamers really happy.

I started shortly after Kunark after being exposed to the game by my cousins. I first created a WE warrior, Nolena, but couldn't level her passed 37 (damn LGuk trains!). Falkun got his Ghoulbane when the quest first came out and it enabled him to make short work of Unrest solo! He raided Velious, Luclin, and PoP. I hated LDON (maybe that's why I didn't enjoy WoW as much?) and my greatest memory was getting Emp. Ssra's sword (http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=11806) during a Starlight and Shadows guild raid. Thanks again to all the S&S members that didn't challenge me for this sword!

I also wore the guild tag The Kindred Souls before they merged with S&S. Some good friends from my Mith Marr days were Phules Golde (cleric) and Lucey (monk). I also knew/was guilded with a GREAT Aussie bard, Aulen, who inspired me to roll my own bard. After trying my bard I was hooked, but didn't have the motivation to redo all the progression and AAs I had worked so hard for on the pally. I wish I had found the bard class sooner, and now I get the chance to!

I'll probably be fairly casual, only a few times a week, but if you are just starting out (I'm L5 atm), and want a bard, I don't have too many problems traveling to hang out (selo's is still the most OP song (spell) in the game). I enjoy seeing the world, and enjoy a simple camp where you chat and mindlessly kill the same thing all night (no that's not sarcasm).

I know several husband/wife (or bf/gf) duos that played Ranger/Cleric pretty effectively. Ranger does need those heals if he/she is gonna tank. Cleric can't slack ;)
