When creating a reimbursement petition, make sure you include the following information.
Character name
Account name
Which server your issue occurred. pve or pvp.
This helps us by providing the information we need and it helps you from not having to wait.
Thanks

Nilbog, I have a petition for my server second shissar seance staff that is now 7 months old. Not any kind of response, Im pretty sure ive included all info about what happened, and from what i understand it wasnt my fault (placed in dimensional pocket, gave to npc etc etc.
Could i just get one response in my petition thread? =)

PSA to the PSA --- few hundred posts are made regarding reimbursements every day (it seemed like it when I was around at least) and the majority of them were for user mistakes. They don't fix your mistake, only mistakes that involve server-side issues. Bump it up a few times a week and be patient as you wait.

I have bumped it, a few times a week, for 7 months.
Unless you consider putting a item in the wrong trade and backing out of trade range was a mistake. Which it was, but usually when that happens my stuff does not disappear.

Is the "account name" your username for logging in to the game?

I'm not back. Just dicking around :p And I don't know what to tell ya Seaweed. In my past experience, reimbursements were usually the bottom of the list of things to do.
And batkiller, these forums have nothing to do with logging into the game. You create a log-in over at eqemulator.org
---
tep 2 - Forum Account
If you have not already done so, you will need to register an account with the EQEmulator Forums∞. Click the "Register" link at the top left of the page. Follow the prompts that are displayed and enter the required information: username, password, email address, etc. Make sure you use a valid email address as your new account needs to be verified. Check your email and validate your account. If you do not receive a validation code, please PM an Administrator in the IRC channel.
Step 3 - Login Server Account
You will now need to create a Login Server account that you will use log into the EQEmulator Loginserver. Please go to the Login Server page (located under Miscellaneous in your UserCP∞). Select "Create a LS Account∞." Fill out the fields and proceed. Please note that your EQEmulator Forum account and EQEmulator Login Server account are totally seperate; you should use a different username/password combination for each.
Your Login Server Account passwords are NOT RECOVERABLE in any way. Do not lose your lose or forget your information.

Don't worry I'm not trying to steal your stuff :P I was just asking in general because I have a reimbursement petition too. It asks for an "account name" and I just wanted to check that's our eqEmu login and not our forum account name or something else.

account name is your "station name" that you put into the EQ client in order to sign into the game.
When you played on live your account name was always...your account name. ><
If your account name is unmadebed and the unmadebed account has 4 chars on it for p99 named sheets, blankets, comforts, pillows then you would tell us acct name unmadebed, char name sheets or w/e
HTH.

Lol it's been about 11 years since I played fwiw :P Also the previous emu server I played on, they never required account names because the moderators could see who every poster on the forum was, what their account name(s) are, and they could even see all their characters. Pretty useful I bet!
But yeah, my petition has all the required info so please help whenever you guys can. I am desperate :)

Lol yeah no shit.
7 month old petition thread on the most valuable necro item in the game ( did i mention it was server second? Pretty sure i did) And you guys say theres hundreds of reimbursement threads a day?
Dont get me wrong, at this point its understood i wont be recieving my item back. Just wanted to make it known that petitions arent gonna be answered any time soon.

You cant possibly think that encyclopedia is more OP than a clicky splurt/leach staff.

Apparently with reimbursments its not just a GM that needs to help, but they need to have a server admin check the logs for your items too.

I guided when we were peaking at 600~1000, and these are not the same people. 40 people log off, 50 new ones log in, blahblahblah. It's a constant stream of people coming and going. If in-game petitions didn't get answered for 3 or more hours, I'd log in to 30+ petitions (and this was a very consistent thing). Imagine having a period of months when there are no guides high enough to answer the forum petitions (on top of in-game petitions). This happened multiple times when I was around -- Cyrius leaving, Uthgaard taking breaks, Uthgaard focusing on coding rather than petitions, Myself having to do both in-game petitions and on-forum petitions, Me leaving, Uthgaard leaving, Rogean having to take over on top of everything else until another guide was brought in....The fucking forum petitions look like a god damn warzone :/
The forum petitions were used slightly less than in-game, but we'd generally see 80 or 100 new posts (not limited to reimbursement petitions) a day. Span that over weeks / months and you have what we have now -- incredibly backlogged reimbursements.
Now, most of these reimbursement threads are "trade bug, I lost 50 plat and a orc hide, please halp" or other incredibly minuscule requests. Others are reimbursement requests that are 100% user error and they don't tell us the truth (thus wasting our time in flipping through trade-logs (which, btw, utilizes the item number rather than the item name, making us look up every single item multiple times to figure out which is which) only to say no).
Another issue is the lack of information we are given. No date or time when something happened, yet they expect us to search through literally millions of lines of logs and find the 1 instance where it happened...
So yes, I may of been exaggerating how many REIMBURSEMENT petitions are filed, but even so -- the 30 or so a day (maybe slightly less due to lower numbers now-a-days) requires an incredibly large amount of effort to even begin to fully figure out. It's not a simple process such as "oh looky there *click* now let's give it back, *click click*".
Every request has to be verified and recorded before we can give an item back... If we can't verify it, we can't give it back.
------------------------
Now, this was all months and months ago. Hell, it may of been close to a year by now since the last time I logged in... Things have probably changed, but it doesn't negate the fact that there are literally thousands of 'reimbursement' posts.
