Login EQEmu

I'm having trouble connecting to the login server. I followed the instructions in the getting started guide to install everything but when I get to step 3, that's where I get stuck.

I installed EQEmu and changed the eqhost.txt file to
[LoginServer]
Host=eqemulator.net:5998

When I launch EQEmu, it keeps saying "Could not reach eqemulator.com. Try again in 30 seconds."

What am I doing wrong? I followed all the instructions and I'm very frustrated atm. Would someone please help me?

Did you launch EQemu itself or Everquest? Try launching Everquest instead and logging in from there.

They should really rename the EQEmu Launcher to EQEmu Intermittent Convenience . The damned thing has almost never worked for me, personally.

If you follow this install guide:

and download the latest patch from here:
http://www.project1999.org/files/eqchangesv22.zip

Then open the zip and drang and drop those files into your EQ folder and overwrite all, you won't even need to bother with the EQEmu Launcher at all. B)
