Saw something about this in the bugs threads, but can't find it now.

I am still swinging for the exact same damage that I was at level one. I am now level thirteen. I thought the damage cap came off at 10?

It is going to get really, REALLY hard to remain a viable melee class REAL fast, even with a group, if this is borked. Right now, I am just starting to get on the loosing side of most even-con encounters, even with some pretty good twink gear. If I didn't have a benevolent encounter with another player, I'd definitely have quit this server and gone back to a different one...it's that bad.

Is there any hope for an already doomed class to remain in the game?

Whats the damage on your weapon?

i think weapon dmg based on str and weapon dmg on weapon. so if you stats havent increased and/or your weapon's dmg is only 1 pt better then that might be it. i dont play melees and i have no proof to back that up other than what i think i know.

My current wep is an Ebony bladed Sword, 7dmg/24dly, procs ensnaring roots at lvl25...but doesn't mention any level requisite in the item listing. STR is 119, even with SoE buff (str goes up to 135+) I don't hit any harder.

well a little dmg cap goes off at 10, a big dmg cap at 20, and i think there are some more but the big one is lvl 20 from what i remember.

You should be able to hit for at least 14 with that sword, even at level 10. My advice would be to try a 2 hander and see how hard it hits however, I believe the cap is around 30ish for max hit till level 20

There was no damage cap to break with that weapon. Try a 2 hander with at least 11-15 damage on it. Should hit for > 20, unlike before level 10 when it capped at 20. I think this is correct.
