cant get past server select screen

I am able to log in and reach the server select screen. I click on the p99 blue server, hit log in, the screen goes black, and I am sent back to the log in screen.

Any ideas? I had it working two days ago, but now nothing.

I'm guessing the servers are down again, because, a while ago, I went to zone and it froze. It gave me the same 1017 error, yesterday, when I tried logging back in.

It does beg the question: why does zoning invoke the login server to begin with?

Did the SOE servers make the client reauthenticate or somethign every time you zoned? Was this the easy way to 'load balance' and have you end up on a physically different server when you zoned?

I have the same problem, i log in with the pc from my house and i get to see the log in screen, then i get to the server select screen and i choose the server and boom i get booted back to the log in screen.

1. At home my laptop logs in and i can play the game.
2. my pc is the one bugged, was able to play before everyday.
3. re-installed and still not working.
4. copied the files from my laptop to my pc and it still doesn't work.

Been 2 weeks that i cant play. Unfortunately i see i am not alone. if anyone got it to work please let me know what to try.

I'm guessing the servers are still down from today? I just checked how many people were on P1999, and it was only around 100.

Yeah, you go to login, and after like 3 minutes of just sitting there takes u back to login screen, was working this morning but now its not.

The Real fix is to not overclock you cpu.
I have a FX4100 and overclocked it and was crashing to login after picking my server.
As soon as i put the cpu back to factory speeds, the game began to work again.

So NO OVERCLOCKING cpu for the game to work.
