The only MMO I ever played was WoW (starting with launch, on and off since) which has (for better or worse) become an arcade game.

I've read about the emotional attachment to EQ for years and when I heard about this Project 1999, I was eager to jump in.

This game is fantastic, and that obviously isn't nostalgia speaking! The community feel is great, and the help needed for simple things such as tracking down a corpse only strengthens the community.

So I thank the team that put this thing together, will spread the word [though admittedly, I'm 28 and my group of friends (especially wife!) are not the fantasy type!] as well as donate towards the maintenance of the servers.

Hats off, you did a hell of a job.

Welcome to Eq man! Youll find that the challenge of this game nakes it all worthwhile and also yes the community itself is fantastic! Everquest has and will always have the best community of any game out there! I salute the developers and there dedication to project 1999 for making our dreams come back reality!

You don't donate for recognition.

Just like you don't volunteer then ask for a paycheck.

Be a man and pick Troll SK or be a psycho and pick Ranger.

I'm a high elf enchanter, hit lvl 4 but blindly did the priest of discordia quest and turned my damn pvp on! I'm going to find a trusting player to hold all my gear and pp, delete reroll and tip him when he/she hands it back off. Is that a common method when reolling for someone that at least doesn't want to lose the items they gained?
