Some people are probably going to hate me for this (I am assuming this issue hasn't been brought up).


I did my fair share of PLing back in the day, and I noticed something was different playing on p99.. when I received a DS from a highlevel caster, I could run around and just aggro mobs and they would all die from hitting me and I would get exp.. this isn't classic. In classic, you had to do AT LEAST 1 damage to the mob in order to get experience, otherwise the mob would simply evaporate giving no experience and no loot. If you did not do any damage yourself, and the damage shield did all of it for you, the damage would not be tied to anyone. I hated that back in the day, but it was classic.

In summary: People need to do at least one damage to mobs that die from damage sheilds. (Per classic)

So damage from DS only, will yield exp?

I have fixed this once before. Just confirming that something got changed to where this is the case again?

Yes, having just the DS do all the damage still yields full experience.
