Doesn't have to be a raid guild. Social guild would be ok with me.

Hokay. So. You obviously are enjoying your time on p99 or you wouldn't have been active on the forums and put in the time necessary to make level 60 and all that.

But you're of the mindset that it might be time to abandon p99 and move onto a different community/game because you can't be bothered to fill out a 5-minute application before a guild accepts you? You're willing to go through a weeks-long trial period, but you are unwilling to start that off by filling out a simple form?

The written application is just something that leaders like to do. The bigger guilds that do any raiding want to see that you're at least minimally interested in being a contributing member. The smaller guilds have applications just because that's the thing to do. Hell. I even advocated AGAINST adopting an application procedure when I had a different character in Maelstrom a few months ago, and no one could even really spell out why there should be a written application... but there you have it.

I don't remember having to ever app to a guild on P99 and look at all I have accomplished. Keep the faith homie.

app processes are funny because you can lie on them and then be completely different in game once part of the guild. It's yummy

IMO, if you're a good player and you group with people from the top three guilds, you'll probably get thrown an invite eventually.

Any guild smart enough to tag good players and have them fill out an application later is smart enough to last more than a few months and will more than likely be one you want to join.

That's how I did it on live back in the day. I let my actions and skills as an EQ player speak for me, not how witty I am on my application or how many internet dragons I helped slay.

what would you say on application? how you gate on group members in middle of pulls 3 or larger? leave rest of group to whipe cause you can't play a cleric. bound in Efreeport, then take the boat all the way back to seb.
