So I am waking up from a rather rough evening and find that the transition to day is positively enjoyable. I smelt bacon cooking and the thoughts that bacon inspires as one wakes up are always pleasant.
Taking this thought down different avenues, I explored the possiblity of using scent as an alarm of sorts.
Glade has fresh scent oils that are activated by electricity to give off an aroma.
Take that concept, apply it to a timer, and the oil starts to heat 5 minutes before wake up time. Pick your scent: Bacon, Pancakes, or french toast. For added effect have some sample audio files come on the alarm clock: bacon sizzling, pancakes being flipped on the pan.
