the best thing to do is react appropriately to their def of PvP. You're not going to change anyone's mind about what PvP is...everyone has their own opinion.

if they gank you, eat it and roll. no tears = no victory. if they decide to camp you, log an alt. let them sit there twiddling their thumbs for as long as it takes them to realize you're not coming back anytime soon.

PvP is also a psychological war to some...when you complain, they've already won.

The better part of this, is most of the server thinks should lose lose xp when that bored twink is running around trying to kill you over and over, so they can:

1) grief you off the server (working pretty good so far)

Exactly why after Cartman, in full bronze and sporting a giant axe whooped my nekkid druid's ass earlier today (while I was whoopin' on an orc cent), I got my corpse and carried on.

Can't cry or whine, cuz soon as you do, you're done and they've won and you not gonna be safe from them ever again. :cool:

A red con player can be as low as 3 levels higher than you. Of course reds should be allowed to pk you. Of course I'm opposed to all forms of PKing other than self-defense and punishment for griefing, but this server would be boring if players weren't allowed to be dicks to each other. Like Humerox said, just don't let them get to you, you'll make yourself an even bigger target.
PS: If you're ever being griefed in game, or need help getting your corpse, you can send me a tell for help. Even though I'm likely out of your range I can still bully the people who are griefing you, and I can selo's you for safe transport.
edit: also, another solution is to just eat the death and ask for a LNS. Most players are pretty reasonable and will let you LNS. Sometimes they'll even let you L without the S.

I don't know what level you are but I have several characters I have access to that can help you. Just send me a PM on the forums or on IRC, or send me a tell in game if I'm on. Also, when I say "don't let him get to you", I mean you should just act sporting and don't get visibly mad that you were killed. It just makes them want to grief you more.

I sympathize with you, jbs89, but this is a fact of life on ANY pvp server in any game. While I'm new to Red99, I'm not new to EQ. I was charmed many times, made to kill my entire party, and then made to stand there and get slowly killed or run into lava. At least you're not getting run into places where you cannot get your corpse and you're not just losing xp.

If I had a dime for every time I was attacked after pulling a MOB, I'd be a millionaire. If you also included all the times I was attacked while low on HPs after finishing a MOB, that would account for the vast majority of my PVP deaths on Tallon Zek.

Also, aSamimnot, you do not need to be twinked to defeat someone red to you. I've kicked the living hell out of players 11 levels higher than me in Live, with the aid of only a SOW potion and a Weighted Axe. To be fair, being twinked definitely never hurt. I've been beaten by a few lower level twinks before - especially as the game wore on, but I've also been just plain outfought and shut down.

Anyway, sorry you're having a hard time, brudda.
