First off, no flaming. Not even a tl;dr I will come to your house and chop off your left toe. If something is tl;dr, you are not cool because you can't read. You're just retarded.
This is just in case you weren't there, or would like to see the GMs improve their events. Also, if you have anything constructive to add.. or even their own synopsis, please do so.
Now, here's for a synopsis of the good things about tonight:
It's nice for the GMs to finally recognize Red99 for what it is: a PVP server. I liked how they forced guilds to mesh together into teams with other guilds. Oh, and getting most of the server involved too. That was cool.
Now here's for the things that I didn't really care for:
Level 40-50? Server code won't allow a level 50 to attack a level 40. Obviously the level 50 would kick the crap out of the level 40 (depends on class, but you get the point).. so what happens for 1st place? Stalemate?
Throwing all groups into a zone together at once. Basically it's a snipe fest. Find a corner, hide, hope you find one person alone that's stupid enough to meander around the corner for 'scouting'. Or even better, group sitting down watching another group go at it... and gank the victor when they are oom and low on health. It also didn't help things that even after 10 minutes of the event, only 1-3 people had died for being stupid and 'scouting'
The 'everyone zone in and GO" thing was pretty crappy too. What? trying to make a tee time or something? Unfortunately, my group was the last group in there... and every other group was already hiding in a corner... but we couldn't hide at zone in. That was fun.
Things that could have been done better:
They could have either put us all together and created groups of 3 or 4 np, but either a) let us choose our own groups. Or even made us go 1group vs. 1group. If we had gone 1group vs. 1group, then this would eliminate cross group buffing.
Could have put some more thought into it.. seemed like an impromptu event.
But thanks anyways for trying to run something fun.
