Tonight Sirken and I will be hosting a Last Man Standing event for levels 40-50. The event will start at 9pm EST. Please meet us inside crushbone at the zone line. Start gathering around 8pm EST. You need to find your own way to the event.

This is the first in a series of events that I will be hosting this weekend. Tomorrow will probably be levels 30-40 etc.

It was fun, everyone in my group died in the first few minutes except me (3 bards one mage, not the greatest class combination although it was interesting deciding what songs everyone had to play etc.) but I eventually got slain by lethdar/sektor. The event is still going on but I just wanted to post to say I enjoyed it.

Here's some screenshot's during the event, came down to Lethdar, Friedchicken, and myself vs 6. We slowly took people down 1 by 1 but we couldn't out last the numbers against us. I blame myself because we should of had Supreme earlier in the game.

IMO, next one should designate team leaders, then have them form their own groups by picking recess style, otherwise you get things like 3 bards no healers, 4 int casters no healers, etc.

I'm kind of sad about the items given at the end though ;/ I was expecting something in the "not too overpowered" category but pumices, crimson pot and a gate potion? :( thats pretty weak, might as well give out platinum prizes.

Or just collect 250-500p from each participant prior to the event and split that prize at the end with winners.

An issue that rose out was the obvious teaming of half dead teams, any idea how to fix this?

So far there have been 2 GM events that I know of, both should have been in the Arena.

If it was an actual gate potion (not a CT pot) then those are worth 1K+ off a vendor. I think those would make a pretty cool prize, but that's just me.

My big suggestion would have been to allow lower leveled players in the zone who were exping there to stay. Just don't let anyone above level 34 in the zone so they can't interfere in pvp. Imo it would be really cool for newbs to witness a huge pvp event while they're grinding, and it's not really fair to kick them out of the zone.

and people who were disappointed in the prizes - i can't help you. I'm not going to hand out something really super huge and major for a pvp event. i have never run events for PVP players before. so I am learning. How about instead of bitching or complaining that a GM gave you an item and let you have lots of fun pvping you form constructive and reasonable critiques and pm them to sirken and I.

I am not the kind of person who is EVER gonna hand out massively op armor. some GM events on live didn't even involve loot. I almost had to cancel the event last night because of RL but managed to work it out so I didn't have to cancel.

I really wish people would cry less when I go out of my way to do things for them.

Spawn a raid level mob in a zone like east commons with appropriate loot on it, give him ALOT of hps so he cannot be burned down fast (think Vex Thall level of hps maybe).

The End, endless pvp for an evenning with a reward at the end.

No muss no fuss.

My feedback would be:

PVP events are nice and all (For example, some custom style events where new mobs (say, something noticeable, like crushbone orcs spawning in eastern commons) drop special loot like the halloween event of 2001 on Rallos where everyone is running around getting PKed PKing trying to get loot would be awesome)

But, nothing can replace daily fun pvp. There needs to be something done about pvp xp death so that pvp can take place on the regular at lower levels or this server will never take off (of course that is an IMO). Also a pvp event along the lines of what i mentioned in the earlier paragraph, IMO, is a more enjoyable type of pvp event where things are looser and more unpredictable and freestylish.

Also, you might not want to be locking down a newbie zone and ganking them for being curious about an event when shit is already hard as hell for a noob on the server considering solo play by default and eating pvp xp death each time you run into a twink.

They would be their all night farting on each other while the mob never went below 90%
