View Full Version : Game Mechanics: Gnome Kabobs and Dried Berries DNC

The recipe for Gnome Kabobs is giving me the does not combine error. "You cannot combine these items in this container type!" I used Skewers + Gnome Meat + Jug of Sauces + Spices for Gnome Kabobs in the Rivervale Oven and a in a Spit. I was able to make this before using the recipe menu and I remember it as a classic recipe. I get the same error for Dried Berries using (foraged) Berries + Berries + Berries + Smoker in Rivervale Oven and in a Spit. However, this recipe has never worked for me, and I cannot recall if it is classic or not.

Same story for Dwarf Chops.
I have stacks of dwarf meat and I can't eat em! The hunger! THE HUNGER!

Should they exist without the stat bonuses on them?

No stat bonuses on food till Luclin.

pretty sure i was using stat food in velious. the dragon steaks or whatever. but maybe I am wrong

Well food durations were introduced on April 17th, 2001 and stats were not added to food till well after that.

This was the same patch that added stats to food:

Food Changes:

Along with the other changes mentioned in the patch message, some player-made food items will now have an effect on your character beyond just keeping him from being hungry. We'll leave it up to you to discover the rest.

We've also added the ability to right-click food to 'force' your character to eat it. This will cause the food to be eaten immediately (though your character can only eat so much food at one time). Food eaten this way will only last half as long as food eaten naturally by the character.

roger, knew i wasn't crazy having stat food in velious...when luclin come out? like late november/december that year?

Does that mean the stat pickled foods Boomba sells shouldn't be in the game yet as well? Or rather they shouldn't be giving out bonuses.

That's up to the devs but personally I don't think they should have the bonus.
It's so minuscule though that it's hardly worth taking out, kinda like Wu's armor.
