hey I rolled a level 1 gnome warrior. My goal is to make it to level 50 with only the gear I find in game on my char, and no groups.
I decided to do this challenge because Diablo 3 wont launch with PvP and I want a challenging game experience.

I just read up on the Song of Fire and Ice series (guess I am behind the times), and it looks like another series that will not end before the author dies. Perhaps I will start reading it a few months before the final book is released.

i mean seriousley a quad of specs gives 1 blue at 43 who would play on this server? some serious retards

10% xp bones as probably opposed to -20% xp penalty so you were getting 30% more xp, seems about right

I mean, just kills light blues and wait a shit ton? Ive been really wanting to roll a warrior. Is it really possible to solo to 50 as a warrior and not go insane? if I could take reliably kill LBs from 50% health, I'd be cool with it since there's never a huge downtime, but huge downtime for minimal exp seems unrealistic. The exp bonus here is kind of shitty. If it was straight across 100% to 50, it would still be unreasonable for non-solo classes (given the pop). EQs exp curve only works with a large population.

It doesn't help that it's either racial xp penalty or no interrupt (without a shield or kunark+55).


Even on my necro I get bored. I've always kind of hated solo play. Its fun at times, but mostly its just out of need not desire.

I dont see how thats possible without exploiting or help.

Maybe bow kiting with a sow. That seems like it would be difficult to outdamage the giant's regen. I never tried soloing as a warrior with a bow. It was pretty brutal on my ranger on blues.

Another option, is training on something that it's an even match with, and just finishing off the straggler if it's low enough to run (which, I don't know if it's possible to do consistently).

Hmm, nothing else off the top of my head. I guess there might be some items that make it possible. I never got into that kind of play. I mean, there's obviously the white dragon tooth or maybe puppet strings. Which, might as well just pay for a PL at that point.

Obviously you can also have a Bard/Enchanter do most of the damage and then charm/release it at low hp, while the level 12 finishes it off. Similarly you can have a monk do most of the damage and just FD at low hp. Also, you can have someone low-leveled damage a mob, have a higher leveled player dot it to hell, and then zone right before the last dot ticks. Training an SG to a guard works in Nro, but if you profit from it Cast might call you an exploiter (lol).

What steaks is describing is likely an exploit though (considering he was suspended for exploiting).
