View Full Version : Spells: Harmtouch not refreshing on Death.

As previously stated in game, the Harmtouch ability for Shadow knights is not refreshing after you die. This had the same logic of Lay on Hands refreshing after a Paladin's death as well.

I made an entire guild devoted to Rallos Zek and PvPing with the harm touch ability on higher players (even though they resisted most of it) we were able to recast after we died immediately.

Disposable Heroes :) Not only am I an avid metallica fan but being from EverQuest, it was a great guild to take from EQ to WoW... despite WoW not having shadow knights and ultimately being the bane of all life on the planet.

I don't ever remember Harm Touch or Lay On Hands refreshing after death. I always remembered that it was on a hard timer of a full in game EQ day and that was that.

Even after Kunark it still refreshed after death, it was very late into SoL/POP that they changed it, the exact time, I don't remember, though I believe it was in conjunction whenever they added AA abilities to lower the refresh time. (that would make logical sense at least.)

The exact time was a Norrath day, which is 74 minutes I believe.

Yep, or if you died, it was instantly refreshed :)

Known issue that came up some months ago.

Historically, LoH/HT refreshed on death on normal servers, but always had the full timer on PvP servers. As such, either way of implementing the ability could be regarded as 'correct'.

Since this a pve server, I'd vote for refreshing it on death.

It did not have a historic refresh on PVP servers. This is the server I played on in CLASSIC/Kunark (not in Veilous though)... I'm 100% sure on this, if I can dig up screenshots or logs, I will.

Yes, my first Everquest character EVER was a Paladin and I started playing from release. We had our LoH timer reset upon death.

Yes, LoH and HT were refreshed upon death. It wasnt till MUCH later where they were on set timers.

It was not until you added AAs to HT and LoH, sometime after luclin came out, that they would not refresh on death. I do not remember at what point they started doing this. But before you add AAs to strengthen HT or LoH, they both would refresh on death.

When HT got more powerful with AAs, then it did not refresh on death.

SK was the main class I played on live.

Yep... played a Paladin from 99 onwards - LOH did refresh at death

Any chance on having this put into the next patch? It's no fun when I lose exp AND can't reuse my HT :(
