I get to login screen I cannot type for some reason

It seems to be some peering issue from europe right now, i have a hard time browsing many sites @ the usa and the forum is slow as hell.

Maybe it's a similar issue that's keeping you from logging in?

sounds like you just need to click into the usename/password box before you start typing...

it happens when you go from full screen to windowed or changes in resolution. just close eq and re open it.

It happens when you decide that you want to experience old school everquest pvp. By the time the login screen comes up you remember that there's only 30 people on.

Resolution: Click the X button in the top right corner.
