New to game :)

Hey guys I just started playing Everquest for the first time today.. My buddy set me up with some basic commands and such but I was wondering if you guys might be able to help me out a bit.

My name in the game is Vulgrim and I am playing a Human Shadowknight... I've been reading the forums but I feel as if they are a bit over my head considering I have never played before.

If anyone would be willing to help I would really appreciate it!

This game is not intuitive at all really. There's a lot of nuance you have to learn as well as commands, maps, quests, npcs, where to buy shit, what to buy, where to level, etc. I tried teaching my friend how to play and he more or less quit because it was "hard" for an mmo, so he's playing guildwars lol. I'd suggest taking a look at the p99 wiki for starters. welcome btw.

I'm assuming you started in freeport, head to the east commonlands from west freeport and there are loads of people there that may help you out.

Yes, I started in freeport! Someone was kind enough to give me some bronze armor(looks sweet!!)

I have played other MMO games before, but my friend has been talking about Everquest to me for years and finally convinced me to play

This is a group and community game. Do not get the idea of totally soloing to endgame your first time around. Second time will be cake and is quite fun. First time tho ask for help as much as you need we are all here for you..

NEVER USE SHARED BLANK SLOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It wasn't implemented till much later in the game and will only destroy your items.

The idea of an entire new world to discover has me so excited, around what level can I start exploring without getting romped by everything?

Also I am in dire need of a weapon, and it seems that all the people selling items are crazy expensive... Anyone have an old weapon they can spare?
