Hey guys, I recently started playing Everquest for the first time, and bought a subscription on retail. But after playing a little bit I realized how empty the game feels outside of Crescent Reach and all the new content. Plus the game doesn't seem at all like the hardcore MMO I remember. Everyone just flies through levels getting like 10% exp a kill and all that nonsense.
Then today I was googlin stuff about EQ, and I found this site. So I had a few questions about how true to classic EQ this server is before I downloaded and set all the files up.
How populated are the more random zones? (like racial starting cities, East Commonlands, you know the stuff you hear about from the "good ol days of EQ")
How long does it take to level?
How many players are in the various level ranges? Is everyone either twinked or max level?
To clarify I've never really experienced EQ before(cause I wasn't old enough to really grasp it), though I was always watching over my older brothers shoulder when he was playing back in 99 and have wanted to play ever since. The time commitment and the huge reliance on group play are what really made me want to play EQ, and sadly that seems to be what SoE has cut out of the game.
Thank you.
