This would be useful for informing people who visit the forums more often than the Wiki about what was added to, changed on, and removed from the Wiki.
Plus this draws more attention to it ;)

someone's messing with some of the wiki pages, so may as well wait a bit before putting too much into it.

its np, i rerolled everythin that idiot made..
thats the thing, if people post shit like that, everyone can "undo" it again etc..
so problems like this should solve themself
by giving everyone the ability to change things, everyone also gets the ability to undo changes again, and since we have a high good/bad player ratio, we should be fine =)

I thought only Dark Elves had ultravision? I was thinking Ogres, Trolls, and other races with improved vision all had infra?

Definitely had Ultravision, I remember because on live I chose Ogre over Troll because of that

If that is true, I don't believe they have it ATM on p1999. Ultravision had a purple-ish hue and I don't get that on my ogre. I also thought it was Infravision that they had.

they had ultravision ... it just made the darkness a bit brighter, not like the spell "ultravision" ... infravision had a redish touch on the screen, but i think also only as spell, not as innate ability ...

Whoever is putting in the skill caps for combat skills needs to get their info correct or just stop doing it. I'm having to correct almost every combat skill cap for SK's - I'm sure some of the other classes are wrong too.
my info comes from:
http://web.archive.org/web/20030316063508/http://www.albrandes.com/skden/articles/skill_caps.asp
Also, if you guys are messing with skills try to use the same format as others have started.
ex:
Riposte Level 30 (Max 175)
Disarm Level 40 (Max 70)

GREAT resource for those working on spells/skills for the wiki - it does not show skill caps though

http://www.wrathfulinquisition.com/spelllist.php < directly parsed from the Project 99 spells_us.txt file, so is accurate for this server.

Hmm, I thought the SK level 50 spell was kunark.
Anyways, did a bunch of work on the general skills page and the SK page.
Somebody is posting some incorrect skill caps so might have go thru each skill page and check your classes' caps.

Good job whoever is doing the races/deities. Keep it up. I like the formats a lot, especially the race ones.
I think like 95% of my time today at work has been working on the wiki. SOOOO BOOOORED

Disclaimer: I simply parsed the spdat file. This doesn't mean all of those spells are currently in game. However, as more information comes to light, I will be flagging the spells that aren't currently live.

Bump from the bowels of the forum. Anyone interested in getting more involved in this?
I revamped the Zones section to get ready for Kunark, added the planes, and have started to add mob pages for Raid Encounters. People are revamping the class pages (i.e. bard, druid, necro) which are all very nice now.
Could use help to flesh out the rest of the zones, update the gear reference from the big forum thread, add QUESTS. People seem to have fleshed out the spell research page I started, some other TRADESKILLS could use some love.
This could easily be the end all p99 resource to replace internet archive searches of alla, castersrealm, etc.
I think the only line that needs to be drawn is the utility between a wiki and a dynamically driven database. I.e. I'm not quite sure yet if we should have individual pages for items or common NPCs. Leaning towards no.

Check out the Shards of Dalaya wiki. The way they did items and NPCs is pretty nice.
Also if anyone gets some sweet templates set up (again, check SoD wiki for inspiration) I will fill in all kinds of info. For some reason I love wikis.

Indeed, the SoD wiki is awesome. I'm just not sure we need to include an Item DB scrape into the wiki, i.e. do we need pages like this?
http://wiki.shardsofdalaya.com/index.php/Bundled_Bone_Arrow_Shafts
or this?
http://wiki.shardsofdalaya.com/index.php/A_bat
Just makes it seem a bit... dilute.
But we could certainly make nice item templates for armor, weapons, clickies, etc. And NPC templates for raid targets and named mobs.

I enjoy the completeness of having all items (big or small) listed in such a manor. Especially if a source is supposed to be the end all be all of information databases for a game.
