View Full Version : Could someone explain SK FD mechanics to me.

How does it currently function? Does it work differently than monks? At 31 I need to always lay down 2 minutes to clear aggro (it seems). Ive been grouped with monks who can pop down and up, no problem.
Am I doing something wrong, or is the mechanic different? Could it be something else?

Apart from the fact that it has a cast time, it is no different.
The length of time you stay down has no relation to whether or not mobs remember you. The FD for 3 min to wipe aggro was added later... except that by staying down longer, you give mobs a chance to wander back to their spawn point (which guarantees aggro wipe). If you get up before they return to their spawn points, something like 98% chance to reaggro. There are a few tricks to bypass this. Play around with your hide skill and the circlet of shadows to learn more.

I would suggest getting a Circlet of Shadow. You can stand up and instant invis without getting aggro, that is if they cannot see through invis.

As for what monks are doing, the good ones are using sneak to help clear their aggro.
