Getting that itch again (Aika)

for mass pvp. My old nation Vanov leaders was talking to me on facebook and told me about the new changes they've made to Aika online :/ was like nah brew playin eq but then I was reminding of how massive the pvp was on a daily basis. One thing I miss is the 5 nation setup. Each nation ruled by its own players. The guilds that rule each nation can be challenged via a Castle Siege where pretty much everyone on the good damn server shows up. Definately the best pvp on mass scale I've ever experienced. Just wondering if any other Aika players here.

sorry hate how i cant edit my posts. i type as fast as I talk so sometimes shit comes out all retarded anyhow ill keep talkin about the game hoping I piss someone off. no zones, no instance pvp all world pvp. classes so diversed and balanced. dont get me wrong the lore is gay compared to EQ, classes gender locked, and imagine if Nihilum actually ran Norrath D= nobody pves in this game. there are a few raid spots but ive only done one of them once and people were like uhh fuck this lets go raid.

btw this thread is not to bash eq in anyway shape or form. i learned the facts of life on eq live just wanted to share a great pvp game to anyone who is interested.

not true, last castle siege I was in we lost because how how the gay ass orbs worked. we tried to take lord marshal but he had more clerics and rms. always near the last 20 sec they would snipe our LM or orb holders and reset the whole thing. you have to admit that the world pvp was pretty cool. what nation where you in?

another cool aspect is that on raids, everyone can help no matter what level. here my cleric is lvl 38 and after a huge push everyone was dead but me. i recovered relic and ended up capping it :) wish this screenshot could show how many people were behind me.

never tried those. what im lookin for is world pvp (no instances or zones) with no level cap on pvp. all vs all, anyone vs anyone but MUST be some kind of teams. which one of those is most like that and maybe ill give it a shot.

Uthgard is a free classic (emulated) server that has similar population to live DAoC.

You download the game from Mythic, patch it, and then rollback your game.dll to one that works on the server. When you get this far you can ask me for a link, or go through the Uthgard thread in the Off Topic forum, the setup guide that Hammertime did is on page 10ish or so.

Confirmed terrible, thinks aion was good at all.

Bot armies, pathing exploits, ability to send pets in pvp out of range from guard aggro with zero consequence, etc.

They failed every MMORPG 101 fix possible. Buggiest piece of shit I've ever seen from an MMORPG release, and it was out for a fucking year in other countries before it was released for NA/Europe.

Only a complete mongoloid would think it was good.

this is mass pvp. shit wont make sense to you most likely but almost hourly these kinds of raids happen. you raid other nations, break their temples down, and take their relics which you then take back to your own nations temples.
