I would like the GMs to police trains a bit more, seeing they were online alot last night. Its really pointless to zone in, run a few yards with DA and then fire a gate potion or eating a pve death. Its not fighting for an encounter or camp... or even a fight at all, its just pure griefing.

The current situation is that server population has bottomed out to lower averages than VZTZ on its deathbed. The reason for the low population is a lack of confidence in the game's administrators to enforce rules equally rather than selectively.

In this case, and as distinct from VZTZ, Amelinda has show the integrity to admit the mistake on the part of the staff (she stated that Holocaust were not permanently banned after being caught exploiting Nagafen because the staff was aware that Nihilum had used the same exploit repeatedly for weeks and the staff had failed to take action).

Supposedly the server admins are going to remove the dragon loot that Nihilum obtained through exploiting, but as of yet this has not happened. Until it does, many will question the wisdom of subjecting themselves to a time sink to reach the level cap, knowing that they are competing against cheaters who are effectively sponsored by the server's admins.

One of the most important aspects for maintaining an audience in online games is the perception of an equal playing field. This is why WoW was so much more successful than Everquest... because in WoW even the worst players can reach the level cap and become decently geared. This allows bad players to be able to tell themselves "I'm a good player."

Everquest is different because anyone who plays for a significant amount of time knows that their ability to advance is predicated on time investment and relationships with other players. The perception of an even playing field in Everquest influences players such as myself (who have wives, kids, jobs, bands, etc...) who didn't have the time to invest to be lvl 46 by now. We must stop and consider if it's worth it to keep grinding, knowing that when we reach planar level we will be competing against two guilds that cheated on a massive scale and were given a pass for it by the server's admins.

Thing is, the staff really only had once chance to get this right. Everybody that was waiting for Red followed what happened on Blue where hundreds of players were caught MQ'ing and allowed to stay on the server. After that a zero tolerance policy was announced. The Red launches, the top two guilds on the server are caught cheating and the "zero tolerance" policy is once again selectively enforced. This leads to a mass exodus of players who see that the staff of this server are incapable of enforcing rules that they themselves create. It's hard enough to compete with the Mom's basement dwellers without the devs giving them get out of jail free passes over and over again. The population of Red is 90% likely unrecoverable. You had one chance to get this right and you went and played Star Wars.

holocaust ban was a 2-week suspension only because they had stolen their strat from another guild that had been doing the same thing for weeks and weeks with no repercussions because of our fault. the fault of the server staff. so we didn't permanently penalize those players.

Currently have 3 open petitions from 1/26 up to today which have all gone completely unresolved and havent even been address at all. Fish Bait was a forum leveling guild made for people at http://www.fohguild.org/forums/mmorpg-general-discussion/45949-project-1999-red-classic-everquest-pvp.html. People sometimes make friends with other everquest people and when the chance comes to play everquest with your friends, sometimes it makes sense to be in a guild with them. Despite how the guild will fare in the long run. btw hows ur guild doin bro?

once again, this was the last time i ever saw the elusive aenor online throughout the beta, in fact i passed his corpse for several days whenever logging on my alt.

Rogean was in IRC wondering how you guys got the kill without even playing MR song on your tank, Nilbog even posted in the thread saying he'd tested different ways to bug out AE's and couldn't find any, suggesting that they were not aware of such a bug. So was it posted privately or publicly, and by whom, and when?

Sometimes if a petition hasn't been answered it's probably because it contained nothing of value, or because the individual who can help you is busy. I'm suspecting that the former is true because you can barely speak English. As for my guild, well for the record it died long after Fish Bait did, and at least I wasn't guilded with total idiots while it still was around!

The second screen clearly shows you attacking me while engaged with a mob. The first screen shows you corpse camping me after the second screen. All the screens of post launch are of a lvl 4 mule.

The comment about XK mass recruiting was pretty funny as well. The guild topped out at about 30 members, most of whom have known each other since at least 2001. Sorry you couldn't participate in mass pvp in Vanguard among guilds that were relevant because you were a nobody farming infamy in lowbie zones.

Um, the screen shot pretty clearly shows a pal of mine that I am power leveling tanking a mob while I'm healing him. If you're the one engaged with the mob in this screen shot, where are the dmg messages? If I jumped you while you were fighting a mob, why are you at full health? Could I not land a single spell on you?

Of course Darwoth was a druid running around one clicking people. He sure does love his insta clicks through the years, takes a lot of skills.

There was only one "balanced" pvp game, Shadowbane (which I loved). And of course... Darwoth hated it :) He acomplished nothing in it and could not rely on broken mechanices (in pvp) to carry on any sort of one man show.

thats a nice story and all but i was a druid from launch through the life of the game, this includes the entire 8+ month period that druids were pure garbage and everybody on the server quit playing them except for myself and tamere.

of course the fact that shamans, sorcerers, bards, warriors, dread knights, along with a number im forgetting had stronger "one shot" abilities than i did that were not dependant on phenomena points does not factor into your logic, nor im sure did you ever discover the easily questable short cooldown item that reflected arcane damage back on the caster that nullified most druids.

as for shadowbane, i played shadowbane at launch and was one of the better pks on scorn as a gimp irekei thief so not sure what your blathering on about there either, there were a few times when i solo or with a partner shitcanned entire groups trying to 3am our walls by stealing all their weapons when they had siegehammers out then killing them all, favorite thing to do was set up "trades" for 40 stat runes or rare discipline runes then yoink them from folks packs.
