well i wouldnt go that far tibb , not sure what they get in sky that would make them so good , however

with a worn haste item + haste buff , melee dps becomes very viable in exp groups / raids and in pvp groups

solo pvp? id say they are a snare bot and can RANGE Casters etc but without a full set of resist gear id say they'd get chomped

but being unique or going away from the chosen path of zergling druids necros and wizards goes a long way imo , i say go for it

more utility then rogue and much more fun

all trolling aside. rangers are a decent class to play. their dps is decent. their snare ability is very helpful for duos (which you will find yourself in alot) runed oak bow and trueshot can help with soloing. very nice to avoid pvp (via tracking) and vital for helping engage in it (via tracking) not the best tank, no where near a warrior, sk, or pally. but will work in a tight spot. like all hybrids very fun to play and its is enjoyable to be a rare site in the game, (i know im a pally)

pallys arent very rare iron i see way too many considering how much they suck

just looked up that bow , has the same proc as the wind elementals for mage 1.5 fight , those mobs suck so bad , so so bad , i want to make a ranger right now lol , only problem id have to join fish bait to get the bow
