I feel like I remember that the lower your CHA the longer/lower res chance fears have...
which would explain sk necro items with good stats also havin -cha
anyway was wonderin if anyone had yay or nay on this
this was always just a rumor

IIRC CHA is only for charm and merchant buy/sell.

Also affects critical resists with lull, I believe.
Mez, maybe?

uthgaard posted a while ago that cha also helps bards with their missed notes, with dex too.

It doesn't affect mez in any way.

That was put in for "role-playing" reasons, and -cha thing was pretty much dropped after the original few EQ expansions.

Ya this was definitely a rumour. It does affect lull, lowering the chance of gaining aggro on a resist, as well as help with charm resists. I did do some extensive research and its still very much 50/50 on whether it affects mez or not. A very well put together and researched article was online that did some testing on cha and mez, and they found that mez was resisted slightly less with a cha above 200 (compared to a cha below 100) so the effect of cha on mez seems to be pretty marginal.

I always though Charisma represented force of presence rather than comeliness. So to me it would have made sense for fear to be done better if you had a higher charisma.
