How accurate are the zems to the link below on the P99 server? Can any devs confirm or deny?

The only one that I think we know for certain is wrong is what's listed for Kedge. It's no longer super jacked up as the info at the link suggests, though it used to be.

The list is otherwise accurate enough that it would be hard to give any reason to edit the values.

The devs have stated that list is wrong, but if we want accurate values, we'd have to research them ourselves as the devs will not release that information.

With that said, I believe the relative weighting of that list is still accurate enough for you to base your exping off of it. As a simple rule of thumb, dungeons > noobie zones > outdoor for ZEMs.

Also remember the base in that chart is 75, not 100. So a value of "85" would have a zem of 85/75 = 1.133 or +13.3% over the base modifier.

People can change =). Who knows, I don't know what harm publishing the list of zems would cause.

The min/maxers would flood the best zones and refuse to level anywhere else possibly leaving other zones as empty as old world zones on live currently.

And that's a problem? Seems like it's a good idea to get some player pooling going on.

Would you like to go from camping a group of mobs to camping one single mob?

People go to Oasis and know full well it has a low zem. I really don't think this would happen as you suggest.

Unrest has a ton of things that make it one of the best leveling zones in the game ZEM aside. That's why there will always be people there.

Same with Oasis.

Eq you've been here long enough you should remember the mess with SolA when the server opened.

It's certainly a reliable place to find a group. Also a reliable place to find all the camps full :P

Oasis is near Ecom that's why it's such a popular leveling zone. Not to mention Crocs are one of the easiest leveling in the game because they stay indifferent don't group and there are TONS of them in varying levels. I've always thought it would be cool for GM's to add extra ZEM to undisclosed dungeons maybe every two weeks or even monthly. No one would know exactly what zones were getting a higher ZEM so it would prevent a mass flock to said zones. People would eventually find out the zones noticing the exp and either blab it all to everyone (which some people would believe and some people wouldn't) or just tell their friends.

I think this is a great way of rekindling interest in old zones which are fun to dungeon crawl through, but dangerous and dissuade people due to death and exp loss (Najena, Upper Guk, Cazic Thule, Kaesora, ect.

With Velious on the unconfirmed horizon zones are going to be even emptier and would help keep those zones relevant.

What was the issue with SolA. I level very slowly, I vaguely remember people talking about it, but didn't pay attention to it since I wasn't high enough level.

The ZEM on SolA was outrageous at launch so 20-40 were ALL about SolA. I was playing a gnome mage at the time and couldn't get anyone who didn't want to kill gnomes so I got to solo from 25-35 in uguk usually with 1-2 other player's in zone.

A revolving ZEM would be awesome!

Each week a new zone or dungeon gets chosen and gives double exp or something.

Would be a great way to incentivise those under utilized pieces of content.

I go to oasis on occasion when I only need a bar or two of exp to finish up a level, and don't want to trek accross the world to find a solid group or only have half an hour of play time. It's easy to pick up groups there.

You, sir, have won Everquest. This needs to be done, classic or no. This would help offset the server's low population compared to classic. Double is too much though. 50% tops, added to the existing ZEMs.

Not my idea, I just reposted my version of it:

Yes! We could call them "Hot Zones!" It's a brilliant AND original concept!

I'm feeling awfully trolly this morning. Apologies.

There was some game I forget now which one, but experience went down the longer you hunted in one zone. It was a game mechanic to encourage you to move to a different zone after awhile.

Isn't a trolly a variant of "trolley?" A street car or cart. Would it be more appropriate to say trollish?

Speaking of High Zem (probably), HighKeep had 16 players in it last night. It was quite fun having the zone to myself, but if the trade off is a higher server population then I'll take it. It was tough to find a single guard or goblin spawn, zone was wiped clean.

Man, looking at that list, newbie Iksar have it rough! 20% racial EXP penalty, and 25% exp penalty in FOB.

At least I know now that I'm 9 and move into Kurn's I'll literally be doubling my exp per mob (.6 modifier to 1.2 modifier)

I remember this as well, and I want to associate it to Dark Age of Camelot...but I can't say for sure. Maybe someone else will know for sure.

Someone else responded with SoD...but I have no clue what that is.

Usually SoD refers to Shards of Delilah (spelling?) a custom content EQ EMU server.
