Rogue: Which class, deity?

Getting burned on the heal bot gig, I was thinking of trying out a rogue. Is there any benefit of choosing any race over the other? Besides the obvious things like exp bonus and faction standings? Are there any cool items to be had specific to one race or a follower of a specific deity?
If not, ill just roll with the hair footed midget for the enhanced exp.

No bonuses to items that I can think of with dieties, and they often aid in getting you into trouble with factions. Unless you want to RP a diety, agnostic is the way to go. Rallos Zek *might* help you with giant faction in Velious, but I doubt it.

Oh yea i remember reading something about having good faction in kael with the rallos zek. Said you can pass through there for a good shortcutwhen traveking around. But can any rogue race be affiliated with zek? I thought that was only warrior and shaman.
Im leaning toward darkelf atm but i didnt consider the slam attack of the barbarian.

Halfling have best exp mod (+13.5%), best base stats and being of 'good' faction helps a lot giving you access to more zones/cities.

Don't forget that while barbarians do have bash, using bash triggers the cooldown on BS. So you need to choose between interrupting casters and backstabbing, and you definitely cannot bash to stun and then spin around behind the mob for a BS.

Halfling, best stats, best looking, and fun. Bash doesn't matter bro, its on the same timer as backstab. XP bonus too. Bristlebane is the only diety I would consider as a rogue being its more in line with lore.

I always roll with Wood / Agnostic. I don't like unwanted encounters do to deity, and I like the AGI and DEX bonuses with Woodies.

Barbarians don't have bash. They have slam, but without the bash skill, slam hits as if you have 0 bash skill (because you do). It's almost completely useless since it shares cooldown with backstab.

Personally consider dwarf best stat-wise, plus you don't have to be big. And because barrel-roll.

Um....Isn't a bard some sort of rogue/enchanter mix? Obviously other skills thrown in but consider this:

Bard/Rogue Skills: Hide,Sneak,Pick Lock,Sense Trap,Disarm Trap, Intimidate
Bard/Enchanter Song/Spells: Mezz, Lull, Charm, Haste, Clarity

Bards can also wear illusion masks like rogues and plenty of items that are rogue/bard.

Don't make a dark elf rogue.
They have the worst starting stats imo.
If you like the way they look then sneak down to Lower Guk and
loot an illusion mask.
Personally I prefer Half Elf for rogue and my 21 Rogue already has his mask

I made my Rogue Barbarian, decided between Dwarf and Barb.

Lots of different opinions but ill try and give you a straight answer.

Barbs: Best stats, big, shitty vision
Dwarfs: Close 2nd stat wise. better vision, small, you're a badass dwarf with barrel roll.
Halflings: Good xp mod stats nothing special.

The other races are pretty meh overall. not terrible but you wont gain anything special picking them.

I think Wood Elves looks cool as shit in plate, and there just ARENT many Human Rogues.... So....

And someone mentioned masks covering the other races, I dont think Wood Elf, Half Elf, or Gnome illusions will ever happen on this server.
