I hear those sound effects from daggerfall in SO many games and movies its ridiculous, especially the door opening, and it makes me think of the game every time.

Yeah it seems like I often hear the same sounds in multiple games.
I hear the Warcraft II Dragon sound in games, and movies.

The old RTS total annihilation kingdoms, had the Wooded area sounds from EQ in its Jungle maps. I'm guessing the sound is a generic stock, as TAK came out before EQ did.

also there's a sound on this song that sounds like a skeleton from EQ. could be the same sound just messed around with the tone of it.

yeah, i've heard the standard noobzone wolf growl/bark noise whenever they do their attack animation on tons of tv shows and movies before too.. i was thinking the same thing about them being from somewhere publicly accessible..

There's a squeaky door effect I hear everywhere from games to movies to TV commercials. It's an opening door squeak (or maybe a chest or something) that rises high in pitch, pauses silent a moment, then lowers. It's not the Daggerfall door effect but I almost want to say it's from Morrowind.

It's almost as common an effect as the wilhelm scream, and crazy enough I can't say where I've heard it, I just know I hear it all the time.
