This is one point where I agree with Harrison.

If I have to kill 50 mobs with my group in a dungeon vs 100 times, there's twice as much time for you to die, more items to drop for the economy and chances for pvp therein.

Keep the XP, make classes appropriate to who you have playing with you, or a solo class if no one else.

Adjustments should be made based on the server's population. A wide spread with people stuck at level 12 on a 150 concurrent server == not good, unless you're promoting sologrindquest in ghost towns.
