"guys it's not our fault naggy bugged out we brought only 8 people to the fight because we're just pro like that we weren't planning to exploit i swear we were just lucky, more lucky than exploit, and we didn't bring any dps so the fight lasted 5 hours which meant naggy fell through the floor but we should still get to keep the loot because it isn't our fault otherwise rogean should have to spawn five naggies for us for all the ones that got bugged out"

Notice how from Fallen's ready comment to naggy death there is almost no guild chat about the encounter. No one is remarking how omg naggy isn't attacking or anything of the sort. But I mean ooops it bugged out on accident and such! Huguhman's "trololol" comment after the AE spam is also lol.

especially when PvP is won and the same strat is used resulting in guild disbands and 2 week+ suspensions.

Considering a GM stood there and watched you push it into a wall and took no fears or aoe... and then said "I see nothing wrong!". At least Rogean got semi-interested for a while and called you on your shit, that was worth about 100 pages of lolz and excitement.... which quickly died off sadly.
I'd say closely watched is part of the funnies at this point, bud.

Please tell me when ANYONE watched them push it into a wall and said they saw nothing wrong? if you mean me - if your guild hadn't been acting straight up foolish that night I wouldn't have had to run around the zone to watch for trains (also part of my job) and co uld have stood there and tested the AE the entire time. BUT UNFORTUNATELY some people just had to train. I never saw who was actually training because by the time I was looking most of the training was over and i can only be in one spot at a time.
I'm also human and i have kids. Give me a fucking break Nirgon.
If you honestly think I would just look the other way while a guild cheated or exploited then i don't know what to tell you beyond what i've already said.
Also if you are looking for a big fat public post of "WE REMOVED DRAGON LEWTZ" it's not going to be coming because that's not how we operate. I can tell you that we've been super busy lately and just because we haven't made it to that yet doesn't mean we aren't going to do it.
We are hiring new guides so those of you who feel that I do such a piss poor job - feel free to apply and you can help out so maybe I can try to be in morem than 1 place at once.
Thanks.

I'm saying you posted logs while standing there during an attempt to bug the dragon out and put the "proof" stamp on it. I don't think you know what you needed to be looking for when those dragons were killed, that's not an admission of guilt but a point of contention for me.
In fact, you're not doing a piss poor job nor is the job of you to remove dragon loot. We've been over that and it's clear.
"Joke" number 1 is their continual denial of it.
"Joke" number 2 is none of them have been suspended and two dragons have been killed recently using the same tactic with no suspensions.
I'm sure the next move is "GET PROOF" but I'm currently dry on my wells and would have to start from scratch again. All the proof is there, we're not waiting on you Amelinda. So, I hope that clears up who I'm furrowing my brows @.

I dont think anyone is looking for any sort of apology Amelinda, I think what the issue seems to be is that Nihilum can post screenshots (Giving Rogean proof, along with the logs/ones he already has) showing they exploited the kills of quite a few dragons now and yet their reprocussions of a suspension (such as what we received) arent happening..
This puts a bad taste in the players on the servers mouth as to where what is punishable and what isnt? Are guilds to be punished for breaking server rules ONLY if witnessed by GMS on the spot? Or do proof/fraps logs warrant a different style of punishement. Or do they get punished seperately based upon however soandso feels like dealing with them at the time...
I am certainly not bashing anything You guys do for us because we play here for free... I just know that so far we can look at the facts....
My Guild was outted publicly across the server by Rogean for what we caused/did, Nihilium can post tons of Screenshots/give rogean them also with logs, and basically say "Hah" we slay dragons dogs... Thats how we roll to the community, with no reprocussions or at minimal a legitimate response from the powers that be, that their punishment will be similar and or dealt with.
I think thats all we are looking for... And seems to be the biggest bane of our server... Communication. (Someone, anyone to just write a 5 letter response) we are looking at it, and it will be dealty with fair and just...
Something along those lines, would ease alot of peoples minds in moving forward..

I don't think you're going to get a statement that says "We will not punish exploiters unless we visually see it ourselves" because then everyone goes "Ah Ha, if I know the staff are asleep, I've got the quoted permission to use every exploit in the game. There are combinations of options available, Logs, Guides, etc. If they have enough internal evidence that they have a reasonable confirmation of an exploit, they'll act on it.
However, knowing this community, I don't blame them on not relying upon player supplied screenshots and logs because of the extremes people will go to doctor up evidence. They can only trust their own sources.

Wait you mean I can't post random pictures and say people were exploiting to get them banned? Nonsense, please review this policy!!
Reality wise, GMs have to witness it because player base is extremely bias and any situation can be turned into an attack even though it is legit.

Those are the same people who bitched about farming VT Keys during Luclin though.
Side note. That Server log dosen't tell me much... Doesn't say anything about damage taken, healing done and healing taken (assuming those are logged, but I believe they are, I don't know). Those are the obvious data points to tell if they bugged out the AE.

There is only one reason you pull her to that location and fight her there, to get her center into the wall, so you can still melee her without the AOE hitting you back. Pretty obvious that is what is being done here.

More like aoes cast. It's possible for someone to not get aoed using the wall. But shouldn't be possible to do damage the whole or half the fight without getting feared or aoed as a pet or melee.

i think its futile to talk about or comment on whatever happened before the bug went public. this is how everquest exploits work. someone takes advantage of buggy code and gets something they maybe they shouldnt or couldnt have at the time. bug eventually goes public knowledge and its fixed or youre punished for doing it. i wasnt there with lovely and the handful of other people originally and i wasnt there the one after that when you were. every dragon raid after that i did attend and by that time the bugs were all public and common knowledge and we never used them. infact when vox bugged the multiple times we were trying various pull spots, the call was made to camp or zone, rather than take advantage of that. so unlike your guild, we chose not to exploit when we could have after the exploit was brought to light to the devs/gms. this is the reason you guys received suspensions and why we didnt. not hard to understand.
its funny how butthurt some people all. it went from 'lol who cares about pixels that wont help you pvp lol' to 'amg this loot must be destroyed for the integrity of the server' P QUICK

only like that first sentence is directed at you, heartbrand. i noticed that after reading what i wrote. dont nuke me
It was more lolz we'll just get in range and take it from you the same way you've been doing it, to us getting suspended.
Not that I care - I'm fine with the two weeks, perma ban was frustrating, but it really is w/e.
If you think an ex member posting screenshots of you using the same exploit we used, laughing about the lack of ae's in guild chat and 0 comments about wtf why is this bugged promoting a fair and equal rule server, you're crazy.
I won't rage too hard about this, but if I was a new player and seeing the clear lack of rule enforcement equally to all players I'd probably just not play - that was if I wasn't one of the 100 eq junkys that will play on any shitty box.
I mean honestly, if shits being exploited - I'm fine with it, I don't think Holo were too worried about it. Once we hit 50 we shit on you guys, corpse camped Reikar about 30 times and went and killed the dragon in the exact same way.
If we knew that there would be some random GM appearance after two months of the server and hand out suspensions we would have just done him legit once more logged on.
It really is a learning experience, I guess with a new server and new gm's we assumed it wouldn't be such biased GM enforcement - and that's probably what ppl are annoyed about. I honestly just assumed noone cared, which is probably still half right.
Supreme

Discovering a bug and exploiting a known bug is two things entirely different.
You know this, so does anyone that ever played high raid content in Everquest. No one "wants" to get a free kill by exploiting...which is why it was surprising when all of this went down.
But Rogean looked at it from your side and realized that perhaps the punish was a little harsh and recended it. I am glad he did and i wish that you guys could just be glad for that and move on.
Typical spinning, I'm fine with it - and probably won't post again. A screenshot of a guild exploiting, laughing about the AE that won't hit, and 0 discussion about anything relating to the bugged dragon clearly shows that you just stumbled upon it. It's all just speculation, and infact you will be getting your shit pushed in again shortly, enjoy your uncontested Naggy for a couple weeks.

Vox AoEs, heals and fears just like she is supposed to, thats the reason the fight lasts so long and why people die during the cause of it.
We have the organization to deal with it though. And we do not mind a GM come watch over our shoulders to see if its done legit, in fact we welcome it. When Vox accidently agroed on us and got stuck in the wall it took several attempts and quite a few deaths to drag her out of there and reset properly so we could do a real attempt, then a GM would ve come in handy.
Also due to the intense trolling on these boards im sure an extra watchful eye is being kept on any dragon kill, and thats just fine. I can tell you dont believe me on this, maybe you re right, tbh its not easy to see if there is a hidden gm in zone... but I am sure there is more often than you think on big fights, and thats not gonna get less when the shit gets more contested. Doubt its for fun that Rogean just made a call for more guides too apply.
Noone in Nihilum wants to fight a 32k hp pillow, we dont have huge numbers for these fights and we want the challenge. And even though its completely immature over content which is this old, its still a rush when you do it, because it takes cooperation to succeed still. Of course the tactics arent groundbreaking, and its been done before by others... MANY others, still fun when it works though. Last Vox kill i was at, took like 45 mins or so on the succesful attempt and it was cool to see the guild working like a fucking machine for that long, and i and many others present got a real kick out of it.
The double standard story is just wrong, Amelinda or whoever that would be present, would be just as happy to swing the banhammer at me or anyone in our guild as she would on you if either of us did something to deserve it.
I hold you in some esteem for your actions ingame Nirgon, I mean, clearly you d stick an Ice comet up my ass on next given opportunity, but thats some of what this server is all about, and luckily if i am just half sober then clerics dont die too easily. Still you certainly had some class when we did trades, so all this forum-rage seem below what i would expect. Have alittle respect for your opponents and just a tiny tiny bit more faith in the GM system then you do currently.
Amelinda has been there for the last two dragons, noone disputes that you are doing them legit now, I think the 13 ppl with 6 lvl 50s, and healers nuking was the issue - this horse is beaten, and I just got sucked into another post aah.

Discovering a bug and exploiting a known bug is two things entirely different.
Discovering it once is fine if you had to ask me.
Not "discovering" it 7... 8... 9 times?
But this one "discovery" goes out the window considering it has been known on blue forever. See Uthgaard's posts from other thread.

1st post, obligatory.
2nd, stating an intention because I've began taken out of context before. It's my never my intent to insult or attack the staff members. However, I may question their decisions from time to time.
3rd, responding directly to something absolutely nuts that Supreme said. A discovery implies "a first time". "Discovering" it multiple times is stupid as fuck to use as a defense.

the one at the beginning of the thread isnt what? proof? i wouldnt say its irrefutable evidence by any means.
we havent killed naggy in skarlon hallways since we reported that bug. we kill him on the steps right next to his lair. p much the first corner where you can dodge AEs.
we've never used any type of exploit where melee can stand somewhere and attack through a wall and not get hit by AEs. the screenshot you see melee hiding beding the wall is something you have to do very frequently to avoind AE spells. i know this to be true because our first kill(which is the same kill rogean posted SSs accusing us of doing that) i was assigned to patch heal the melee who got hit(and they did relatively frequently)
next.

Having said that, I am looking into the vox kill.
Here is the encounter log:

And here's some new screenshots that just came to light:

Looks like using a doorway to somehow exploit line if sight in a way that allows you to attack but avoid getting hit by AE's?
Want to explain this one Nihilum?
Vox was tanked by hughman in plain sight, we found out that the bard could attack tru the wall there(more lucky than exploit) and we just pilled everyone there.
You might have missed this.
Oh and this (14s+ with no Naggy fear or aoe):

Someone has finally at least partially opened their eyes, now you can use some brain power to deduce that only hughman and rob were getting hit by the AE because only he and the few pets were on that side of the wall.

See anything else hitting him? A fully HP buffed caster can get 1500hp. Hes obviously buffed, notice the lovely buff block tactics.

Fucking rofl. We only exploited because we thought no one was looking.

Yea I assumed noone cared since it seemed to be the standard strat of any Naggy kill. I would honestly just rather have no rules, fix the mob, and all strats are fair game - enforcing harsh sentences only if gm's feel like logging on to witness it, or if it's during prime time is meh.
I'm pretty sure Harrison's trolling, but I don't know - I've had ppl on my nuts before but this guy just needs to nit pick every little thing and take everything out of context to try to feel like he's fighting the man or something, he's like cast 2.0.

But often times people hate that which they do not know.
From what I can see, a lot of people here get a huge kick out of fighting Holocaust or going for that kill shot on us. Holo has certainly added entertainment value to the box, unfortunately recently, over the past 2 weeks all that excitement has been on the forums.
I'm glad no one was banned over any of this and what's done is done. My boys are getting out of the pen on Monday, I believe.

Considering how many people were on the raid, there should be at least a few legit screenshots showing Nagafen out of a wall and casting her AoE on people. Amazing that Nihilum hasn't shown any from these encounters.
I still say Nagafen and Vox should be perma rooted with the ability to summon the top agro player to them.

As far as my origins, other factors withstanding, I'd say I'm with the Zyrino and Xblade crowd.
I think this whole shit was more about me going after Nihilum (if you can read the threads and comprehend what's going on.. or hey check my post counts in there). So I'd have to label this one as I won't let bull shit sneak by me, although in this case, as far as sneaking by is concerned... it was more like a clumsy elephant in a glass factory.
Sorry if I put efforts into ousting people for exploiting raid mobs here, I'm sure it keeps you up at night. I'd say the "VZ/TZ" guys in my crew were much less of an investigatory or deciding factor and more like the Arsenio Hall audience cheering on the show.

How to kill Nagafen in a true fashion Lovely style!
http://imageshack.dk/imagesfree/vW736748.jpg
Wizard tank huh. Then why is Emumu inside the dragon in front of you while you have 99% hp and mana.
That censored screenshot (and my power being out) has inspired me to go over the encounter log again.
http://www.project1999.org/p99/?Log&Srv=5&Enc=4156163
Emumu aggros Nagafen in lair at 20:05:34.
50 seconds pass before anybody other than a bard get added to hate list.
4 pets get put on Nagafen. Three die immediately, but likely due to melee damage as they die 1-2 seconds apart. Lilpis FDs.
First cleric (Nerfed) on hate list at 20:06:36.
Hughman added to hate list at 20:07:52, 2 minutes 18 seconds after initial aggro.
Most of the raid force engages around 20:08:10. Every single non-charmed pet with an owner that doesn't die that gets put on Nagafen at this time lives through the entire fight except Lilpis's second pet. Meaning zero (with one possible exception) pets died to AoEs after this time, which is a full 10 minutes before Nagafen's death, including a level 28 wolf pet from a level 40 shaman. (level 39 shaman pets have 900 hitpoints) At this point in time, Nagafen is still likely near full health, as the only possible sources of significant damage were from a 50 SK, a 45 bard, and one mage pet that did less than 765 damage.
Silver's pet dies at 20:08:45. This was the only pet to survive of the first four pets that engaged early during the pull. It did 765 damage.
Hughman dies at 20:08:50. Jibekn dies (or otherwise zones) 8 seconds later. Trotiste's pet either dies or breaks charm 11 seconds after Jibekn dies. Trotiste dies 6 seconds after his pet disengages Nagafen.
Second cleric (Fallen) on hate list at 20:09:03; two and a half minutes after Nerfed.
At 20:10:15, Lilpis's pet dies. From that point on, no entity is removed from Nagafen's hate list. Nagafen dies a full 8 minutes later.
Lovely added to hate list at 20:10:33-- 5 minutes after Emumu aggros Nagafen. He does all of 1589 damage the entire fight.
The last four players added to the hate list are 3 clerics and a resurrected Hughman. Face at 20:11:35, Milkshake at 20:13:40, and Reika one minute before Nagafen dies at 20:17:10.
Nagafen dies at 20:18:09. Three people die/gate: Hughman, Jibekn, and Troriste. They die early in the fight, and likely from dragon melee and a charm break.
The raid included a 32 warrior, a 36 warrior, and a 34 rogue-- who did not have a bard, were engaged for 8-10 minutes, and didn't die. Silver uses a water pet instead of a fire immune pet. The only bard chooses to melee instead of use a drum. Half the raid is below level 45.
The only entities to do more than 2k damage:
Gurrilla's Pet (SumFireR11) (591)[1007] 598 Length 6129 Damage
Jibekn's Pet (SumFireR11) (591)[1041] 466 Length 6124 Damage
Silver's Pet (SumWaterR12) (609)[1040] 492 Length 6104 Damage
Emumu (536)[1019] 755 Length 5162 Damage
Nacho's Pet (SpiritWolf234) (548)[1043] 431 Length 3323 Damage
Xzeal (2022)[1016] 511 Length 3180 Damage
Skelly (2623)[1004] 720 Length 3078 Damage
Troriste's Pet (sonic_bat) (32016)[960] 64 Length 2435 Damage
Hughman (115)[1045] 271 Length 2250 Damage
Most interesting is the hate done by every healer on that raid:
Troriste 50 Druid 0 Damage 3385 Hate
Bacon 40 Shaman 946 Damage 2127 Hate
Nacho 50 Shaman 0 Damage 1838 Hate
Nerfed 50 Cleric 0 Damage 1682 Hate
Face 33 Cleric 0 Damage 349 Hate
Fallen 50 Cleric 0 Damage 332 Hate
Ganka 45 Druid 0 Damage 199 Hate
Reika 50 Cleric 52 Damage 204 Hate
Milkshake 44 Cleric 0 Damage 49 Hate
As you can see, most healers have very little hate. Bacon was clearly nuking, (or meleeing) not healing. Troriste was only in the fight for 70 seconds and engaged with most of the raid at 20:07:55. He also had a charmed pet, which means he wasn't going to blow all his mana healing, if any at all. 3385 hate in 70 seconds indicates he was nuking and getting resisted, as heals do not generate anywhere near that much hate, and the only ice nuke druids have also has a fire debuff component, which means it is probably an all-or-nothing spell.
That leaves two healers with any significant amounts of healing done: Nerfed and Nacho. Nacho had enough mana to spare to summon a pet mid-battle. Amusingly Reika apparently found the time to melee Nagafen. Quite clearly there was NO CH ROT going on-- not even on the main tank.
For reference, on a more recent Nag kill with a similar fight duration, clerics all had a uniform 4k+ hate.
Everything indicates the dragon was not AoEing, including Lovely's screenshot. Notice everyone is spread out instead of minimizing the distance required to duck behind a corner to avoid AoEs. Lovely is nowhere near a corner, goofing off by meleeing Nagafen with full health. 'Accidental' or not, Nagafen clearly bugged out very early in the fight. Hell, Nagafen probably wasn't even meleeing some of the time with that lack of healing. Can one cleric and one shaman (who summons a pet mid-fight) keep a SK up for 10+ minutes against Nagafen's melee?
The difference between Holocaust and Nihilum is that Holocaust exploited after two months of GM inaction, after Nihilum had been getting away with so much for so long, with screenshots and logs showing their crimes. Holocaust admits wrong doing while Nihilum still lies, blacks out screenshots, and refuses to submit logs. Nihilum played the GMs for suckers by harassing them to monitor Holocaust's raids to eliminate the competition they fail to kill in PvP when they themselves were guilty of the same crime.

This should be quoted at least every 10 posts. Great work on breaking down the obvious exploitation. Curious though; why did the tank require so little healing against Nagafen's melee?

Oh we're worried about ourselves alright. Getting put in the penalty box while another guild gets off scott free for the shame shit is entirely our business.
Matter's resolved though as far as I can tell.
We're worried about who trained what, what is logged and what people can be held accountable for when all kinds of shit like this goes down.
Again, entirely our business.

Because Nagafen does zero dps in that spot. Just sits there.
