Bazaar webpage

I might be in the minority, but I loved the bazaar from the Luclin expansion. It made buying/selling fun for me. While the bazaar will never make it into the game, I thought maybe a website could be created that is similar. You post what you are selling. And a searchable interface for potential buyers. Would anyone be interested in that?

When I play EQ, I play, I don't want to waste it going afk. If I'm going to waste time, it's going to be at work like I am now =).

I've had success buying and selling wares in the EC tunnel board. A good amount of people visit it.

I think it would be cool to modify the price tracker on the p99 wiki to include WTB or WTS features..

although im still busy just making content for it lol

The problem is people would have to maintain their inventory outside of the game itself.

People would be more apt to add inventory items, but not necessarily remove them once sold, making for an inventory database that was incorrect.

I guess I have to ask why. If the functionality of the bazaar was put into the East Commonlands tunnel, would you still feel the same?

can just make any WTB or WTS feature expire in 30 days max.. unless person log back on and reset timer.

but yah .. anybody using a buy / sell data base knows its not 100% accurate.. the way the p99 tracker is currently set up.. doesn't accurately reflect what people willing to pay for something... only show what people selling for

hahahaha this made me lol. god i effing hated that, i would undercut all my items, go to sleep wake up with zero things sold, like wtf... about 500 other people undercut me... bazaar blows

Ok, I do forgive you =), as an example show me how to search for all monk useable weapons for under 1kpp. I'm not asking for the tunnel to go away, I'm not asking for a bazaar to be put into the game. I'm asking for a website that has more functionality than a message board keyword search. Wiki.Project1999.com has been extremely useful and no one has complained about that.

What would be nice is a Bazaar type channel that is server-wide. So rather than having to visit EC and sit there hoping an item you want comes up, you can turn on the channel wherever you are in game and watch for deals.

Thread is a tad bit derailed (trying to get it back on track), I'm not asking for the bazaar to be put into the game. I still LOVE classic EQ and don't want to mess with a winning formula. Just asking for a website with more functionality than the message board.

We had that for a while at the start of the server, and many people complained because "it's not classic". Server pop was growing too, so they get rid of the server-wide channels.

They'll never come back, simply because "it's not classic".

I bet if they added a server wide chat channel... it'd just turn into a service wide chat channel..


i dont think there should be any server wide channels..


i do think it'd be cool if there were custom channels tho. really helpful on raids and such (not that i raided on eq lol) but a channel for healers to communicate or leaders w/e be helpful.

nothing worse than seeing 500 casting spell spams... better to just look out for the ones that pertain to you.

Go to the wiki, search for equipment by class.
Select monk.
Then, either go to primary, or specify 1HB, 2HB, H2H.
Sort list by ratio.
Start at the top and click on each one. Look at the auction tracker and find out prices. Remember ones under 2k.

Go to the Forums and do a search for a few of those items.
Send a PM, and line up sale.
