The current drop rate is much more rare than it was on Live. We're now few magicians to have experienced high amount of kills without drops (30, 40+).

On http://eqthieves.com/class-magician-epic10.htm:

The Dirt of Underfoot is found on Slixin Klex. It is a common drop. He won't be very difficult finding for he spawns (-500, -1100) just north of the glowing meteor every 22 minutes. He is a level 50 warrior and has 11000 hitpoints.

On allakhazam.com, you can read from the comments it can be rare, but not that rare.

On eq.magelo.com they give a 36% drop rate.

Stopped at 60 kills. This is broken :(

50 Kills in as well, drop rate is fubard.

22min repop mob in one of the hardest epics to finish isn't supposes to have a super rare drop rate.

Would appreciate a quick fix on this, I know there are a bunch of little bugs and everyone's got a legitimate reason this or that should be fixed. I've also seen Devs come in and ask for links ect if a player/s think something isnt right, well the link is in this thread, and the crappy camp is getting to be a hostile holdup for Magicians.

Drop rate is currently set at 15%.

If there are no objections, I'll increase it based on the magelo 36%.

But so many "bad luck" in so little time? Maybe there is an issue with the RNG here.

I had 1 chance over 32900 to need 64 kills. 2 other mages have reached the 50 kills (1 chance over 3381). That's a lot for only few days.

So yes, maybe there is an underlying issue elsewhere. But I also bet you got a test routine to ensure it's working fine. Wierd.

If I can do anything to help you test stuff, lemme know.

Yeah just got it today. Took about 10 kills. Guess I have bad luck. Better than the 40 to 50 people were talking about though. Sheesh!

the droprate was much lower when epics were released on blue, but they patched it sometime shortly after.
