Before people start asking, all of the scripts were written with item memory, so multiquesting is functional. And the stats on the epics are the original forms, not bugs.

Epic Quest Notes:

This is to chronicle the changes/amendments to the Epic Quest results. The Quests where introduced in September 2000, with this message:

We are pleased to announce that we have implemented new "Fiery Avenger" style quests for every class in the game (including paladins). The ultimate reward for each quest boasts a custom model with unique particle effects. We think that you will be pleased.

The first three weapons where deemed fine by their respected classes, until the discovery of the Shaman Weapon.

The Shaman currently are unhappy with their weapon, and a tuning meeting is being held to discuss not only the weapons already found, but the unfound ones as well. The main reason for their concern being the lack of Wis/Mana compered to the Cleric weapon, and the fact that the Effect is a proc rather than a clickable effect. Due to it being a proc, it is possible for the effect to start at the beginning again, as it does not finish the cycle first, thus rendering itself not as productive.

The Warriors are also slightly dissapointed with the primary held 1HS, as it at its current ratio, is not as good as currently available weapons (amiditly from places like VP), and cannot keep up the taunt factor that they require. Also the Blade of Tactics is NOT a right click effect, but a proc, and also most importantly, the buffs that it produces do not allow Cleric buffs to stack.

Monks, Druids, and Magicians where held up in the efforts to finish the quest by faulty NPC's. In the case of the Monks, an infinate xp exploit was found, and someone levelled a Monk from 40 to 60 in a short space of time.

Recently it has been reported that all of the epic quest results will have +50 to stats, +50 to resists, and +100 points distributed between hp and mana (where applicable). These effects will be changed in a future patch.

The Patch dated the 15th November changed the Shaman's Spear of Fate by increasing the damage/delay, and adding more Mana, the Rogue's Ragebringer by adding more hp's, and the Monks Celestial Fists with regards to the haste type and damage/delay to our Fists.

So does this mean 2 months after launch of epics your going to fall inline with the changes made in November of 2000? Epics launched in September and significant changes where made that November. See below:

Change Patch

Date: NOVEMBER 15, 2000

Spell Changes:

Pixie Strike: Made it less resistible by reducing the secondary resist.
Song of Twilight: Increased duration. Made less resistible by removing the secondary resist. Allowed it to be cast at any time of day.
Fixed the effect on the Necromancer Epic Quest Item. The effect was checking resist on each tick instead of running full course.
Increased the duration of the effect on the Enchanter Epic Quest Item.
Fixed the 'Modulating Rod' so that it can be used by the appropriate races.
Fixed the Lost Staff of the Scorned.
Maniacal Strength will now correctly overwrite the level 49 Strength spell.
The Death Pact and Divine Intervention spells will now stack appropriately with other spells that have similar effects.
Modified the 'Jonathan's' line of songs to remove the 'skin' effect in order to allow bards to use them more effectively in combat. In addition, we made them 'Self Only' spells rather than 'Single Target' spells in order to allow bards to remain in combat while singing them.

General Fixes/Changes:

Fixed a bug that caused an NPC on 'Sister's Isle' to attack people who were fighting pirates.
Removed Paladins as an authorized class for piercing weapons in game since they do not have the piercing skill.
The 'Belt of the River' quest should now work correctly.
Fixed all known problems with the class-specific epic quests.
Implemented some new race-specific quests for Iksar.
Positively modified most Epic Quest Items. Please check your items to see your changes. Note: Not all changes will be evident by looking at the item.
Fixed the NPC bosses in the Plane of Sky that were not dropping the correct loot.
Your bread tin will now be returned when baking bread.
Fixed the Wellford Fargin keyword problem in Firiona Vie.
Made the 'Gravebinder' a magic weapon.
Repaired the Forager Bag. It was causing people to lose weight when placing items in the bag. It is supposed to have a weight reduction component, but was not supposed to cause weight loss.
Taunt: Increased effectiveness above level 50. Previously, creatures above level 50 could not be taunted by means of the taunt skill. Now, most creatures below the character's level can now be successfully taunted. As a note, the chance to taunt a creature above 50th level is smaller than that of a creature below 50th.

Would be alot less work to just put in the final version of each Epic I would think.

Btw Nilbog Im very happy with how you and your team are moving along with implementations no issue there at all. Just trying to keep it real here. Thanks for Epics it's another part of the game that has added something for us to do.

Also if IRC the warrior Epic didnt have a hate modifier to it in its original form. Is this also being added for the secondary epic patch if thats infact the route your taking with the updates?

A) It's correct
B) If other things are incorrect, you make legitimate bug posts about them.

One content item is not the hostage of another.

Guess we'll just have to get really good at switching out weapons during combat for a couple months until the epic improvements come. Wonder why such a strict adherence to following the classic progression in some cases, and not others?

Because having to weapon swap is not as game breaking as 50 people hooping down a dragon in under 30 seconds?

Do the butthurts seriously have to try and use that argument EVERY time?

because Szeth its not about butthurt its about consistency. Stay true or dont.... picking and choosing just pisses off peoples expectations.

Then manage your expectations. This forum is for bugs and things of a factual nature. Stop shitting up every damned thread with your opinions on implementation.

Whos this directed at? If its me I started this thread and with Factual information and what the expecation I thought was in place. Now we are getting another story. Im fine with that but sometimes thats what needs to happen with these bug threads because what we believe to be may not be what the Server admins have in mind. Its their servers and Im cool with the way they are handling it but just need to know what to expect. Attacking me isnt gaining any respect on my end Uth. Seriously??

Also, if you turn in something out of order (like the pages from COM or the dire wolf pelt) he will eat it and say you have strayed from the path. So don't turn in shit out of order!

Hoops are not the only non-classic thing here. For example, they seemingly removed the ability to /target players/mobs out of LoS because some crafty people were using that to pull fungi king to NG. Apparently if it's something wildly popular like giving us the improved epics right away, we must adhere to the classic principle. If it's something people are using to defeat content more easily, then we must throw classic mechanics out the window. A little consistency would be nice. And you would think that if they were going to break from classic on something, they'd choose to make the server more enjoyable, not less.

Not so much. Likely the /target issue arose from fixing the inability to target invisible players. If there's not a bug report about it, please make one if this is in error. If there is a bug report already, add to it with specifics which may be missing.

Came to this thread to read about the Shaman epic. Not sure what's going on in here now.

I love how TR/IB/Whatever is still in denial about hooping on raids - the only difference regarding our previous hoopages is that you guys tried to be all stealth about it.

After the nerf you repeatedly wiped to shit, under normal circumstances, that had never given you trouble before.

Yes, the /target issue has been reported as a bug. Uthgaard had indicated that this change was intentional.
