From Lucy Spell data this is suppose to have a dot component which gains in strength.

Game Description

At this time the proc only does 110 dmg dd. No other added bonus. I believe this got patched in for fix after reported on live to actually have a dot component like the spell data suggests it should. Can we look into this?

proc was bugged on live, it didn't dot. remember having the same discussion on vztz. they went with letting it proc 100dd and that's it.

I had it on live also and I remember them fixing this to add the dot component. I dont think it was posted as a fix in any of the patch notes but was done on the back end. I found other data that they fixed it to be a heal over time for a total amount of 410 hps over 2min 6 seconds. Im at work atm so cannot link the source but I read it last night. Will link it later tonight when i get home. Regardless I know it was fixed to either be a DOT or a heal to the wielder just cant remember which. I used this on live for a long time as a tank weapon as it created great agro.
Also the proc is 110 dd at this time. That poster above posted probably before they fixed it.

A lot of the VP items were upgraded a few years after Kunark, big lols if P99 is using the PoP era stats.

After looking at the velious spell data, I can support this as being completely confirmed. That's a bugged spell, and would heal the mob for the amount of dot it's supposed to do. It wouldn't function as a lifetap because it's missing the required information and the target type is wrong. So it's working as intended at least through velious.

Actually the revamp you speak of above made this dagger 15/18 in the POP era.

They made the change from 11/20 to 11/18 in the risk verses reward Patch they came out with. See Below:

Risk and Reward:

The concept of risk and reward is very important to the game of EverQuest. Ideally, situations that provide a greater reward should also provide substantial risk. Over the past several weeks, we've been identifying areas in game where risk and reward are at a disparity, and making necessary adjustments.

In most cases, those adjustments are in favor of increasing the reward for a specific action. For example, we recently increased the experience awarded in many Kunark zones to offset the sometimes-considerable risk associated with adventuring there. We also do this quite frequently by increasing the reward associated with a quest by enhancing the item, as we did last week with the Burning Rapier quest.

However, in some cases there are instances where reward is far in excess of the risk involved, and we will be correcting these issues like those above as we come across them. For example, there are many cases where a solitary and stationary outdoor creature has a "fast spawn", yielding the reward of fast experience-gain without the commensurate risk.

Though it is not our policy to announce changes to individual NPCs, we did want to let you know that you will see risk/reward disparities corrected over the next several weeks.

I also believe this is when they patched the proc on this as I had it early on in the game. I cannot find any confirmation on this though. Can you break down the Kunark Spdat file for this spell effect for the kunark era?

So this is obviously a bugged spell -- should fix it without caring about the timeline.

You're not fixing bugs on a timeline. Bring back clickies getting rid of spell cooldown and other exploits if you're selectively not fixing bugged spells.
