I just found that if I cannibalize standing next to a (warmly faction) Qeynos Guard, it will aggro immediately and take a pleasure in hitting me. Is that classic?

No it's not classic, it's just a bug that came with guard assist being implemented.

I think shamans like the OP have ruined their own lands and the guards aren't too fond of that.

Cannibalism is illegal. If your mana is important to you, vote yes on issue 2

It's because you look at yourself threateningly when you con yourself /emo guards just thought they'd help you out

Whatever NPC's will actually take action against pvp is up to the content team, I only implemented the system to support it.

With that said, fixed next patch for self inflicted damage.

Yep, guards and guildmasters are assigned the pvp assist flag. Both should stop fights.

On the same vein, green guards should also aggro on attack. They currently dont.

Even though I just lost a good 4 hours of xp from that death, I lol'd at this.

I too took a death by guards from self inflicted dmg.....

Also I recall on VZ live/classic time that when PVPing near guards the person with the highest faction with the guard/NPC was the one who got assistance...? Not just action against the aggressor.

Anyone else remember such a thing?
