I would like to thank you guys for giving me the chance to relive one of my best years in mmo gaming. I have never played EQ on blue, hell i cant think of anything else more boring than a blue server. You guys delivered everything i needed for a good nostalgia trip into the past.

EQ had a major impact in my life since it brought me into the game industry. From expierence i know that the community will cry at any changes you make in the future maybe even i will join the wayne train once in awhile. If i do just stick to your plans. Those who post on forums are not the majority and by far dont have the view for the bigger picture.

Nine years ago when i started helping to create virtual worlds a friend gave me this list which i would like to give it to you.

Enjoy the reading and keep up the good work.

To the rest of the community. Lets face it most of you are virtual trash. The same low self esteem geeks that you find on any mmo forum commercial or private. You have your drama queens, the cockwaving self decalred Master of whatever, pseudo leaders of "the most hardcore guild of nerdom", life failures who take a 12 years old game as another chance to find some kind of success...but i want to thank you too. I love the drama the soap opera and i love laughing into your faces and just beeing a fuck in game. Please keep the flames and drama floating.

I left in early 2006 to start a new studio focusing on virtual worlds."

Hans Henrik Staerfeldt's Law of Player/Admin Relations: The amount of whining players do is positively proportional to how much you pamper them.
Many players whine if they see any kind of bonus in it for them. It will simply be another way for them to achieve their goals. As an admin you hold the key to many of the goals that they have concerning the virtual environment you control. If you do not pamper the players and let them know that whining will not help them, the whining will subside.

Hal Black's Elaboration
The more responsive an admin is to user feedback of a given type, the more of that type the admin will get. Specifically, as an admin implements features from user suggestions, the more ideas for features will be submitted. Likewise, the more an admin coddles whiners, the more whining will ensue.

At least someone else out there has figured this out.
